Beautiful, your makes suit you really well. Thank you for introducing the Serene Jumpsuit to me. It is the most clever jumpsuit I've ever seen. Thanks and best wishes from US NM.

Always great to hear from you Sam! 🤗 Hope you are well and made many wonderful memories during your travels! 😃 The Serene jumpsuit seems like a very thoughtful, practical design! 😍 Many jumpsuits have an open back, which I’m not a fan of wearing, and I don’t think anyone likes having to take the entire thing off just to go to the bathroom…😅 So I bet that pattern will be a real hit for the warmer months! 😊 And I bet it would be easy to turn it into a zero waste pattern with a few adjustments! 🤔

Aw thanks for your lovely comment, yes I’m well thanks. The jumpsuit is a lovely design, Donna likes to come up with practical solutions & a zero waste version would certainly be interesting but a challenge I think 🤔

Thanks Sam, loved your refashioned makes. Re sustainability, I struggle with the amount of fabric ‘waste’ when sewing, and try to use as much as possible, ideas, projects to use as much of our fabric and prevent it going to land fill is appreciated. I rarely see pattern companies suggesting ways to use the inevitable left over fabric.

That is a brilliant idea. Pattern companies should do that. Or clever independent pattern makers could work on patterns cut from typical leftover pieces.

Thanks Carol, glad that you liked them. It's a constant struggle trying to come up with ideas ti use up scraps isn't it - I guess that's where the Zero Waste designers bridge the gap somewhat but a great question to put to designers - thanks for the suggestion🤗

The leftovers are a constant source of frustration aren't they! 😳

Like all your upcycling jobs, you've made yourself beautiful clothes. I also upcycle and recently made a jacket from a recent Burda magazine from curtains I got in a charity shop.

Smocked top upcycle is cute. Wonder about making split in the back and adding button and loop for a little extra room? Or teardrop-shaped keyhole with tie?

Beautiful detail on the neck of the blouse! I love what you did with it! I'm wondering if it still feels tight. You could add a slit and button with an elastic loop in the back so as not to interrupt that beautiful detail while giving it a bit of ease.

Thank you, it feels ok now with the shorter sleeves, there's already a slit at the back with a button & loop 👍
