Hello AK, I have a question about the round brass lights with stripes. Elitco and Dauer. I have seen so many similar lights from different companies out there and have absolutely no idea which one to pick at the end of the day. Examples are: Orbit , Gardenreet, SuperBrightLEDS and prices vary from $38 to $70. Would love a bit of guidance if possible. Many thanks
I would say AMP is better. If you're a contractor, I would move to AMP. They have different/better versions of the same products, and they are trying to separate themselves even further as a contractor company.
I just have a quick question do low voltage lights catch on fire ? Because i had a volt light and it looked like it was about to catch on fire so i just turned of the low voltage transformer and i just turned it on the next day and it worked fine but then i just get paranoid
No. The voltage is so low that it wouldn't. Plus most often the inside components are plastic and would just melt. If a fire ever starts, the transformer has a built in fail switch that shuts off the transformer stopping the flow of electricity. The only way a fire could happen is if the wires were not connected well and not buried. Sometimes in the right condition there will be an arc of electricity that can catch dead grass on fire. With all that said. If you have a good or great quality lights, you won't have issues with fire.
That's a great question. Cast lighting is a top brand with top quality lights. I try to keep all the lights I review on this channel be around the middle grade instead of high end. I would say once you get into higher quality brands, then it comes down to options of which is the best, but its up there. I would not say its the best or even in the top 5.
I sell a lot of Cast. It's great for near the ocean because it's heavy duty cast bronze & holds up over time better than most. I wouldn't say its high end price or finish, more like top mid range
That's a hard question to answer. I think they some companies with powder coating is top notch, but others aren't as good. Volt is a solid B quality for me - not the greatest, but still better than a lot.
Good explanation on each one. You should make the same video but for path lights
Thanks! Path light video will be posted in the next week or two.

Where would you say AMP products rank vs Volt, I know they are the same parent company but is there a benefit moving to the contractor version?

fixture at 6:50 is made my Universal lighting at many distributors.
What is the brass option you use called? Elite Co?
Yes. I don't think its a brand you have access to, but its similar to most brass lights you can get.

Lol can you possibly be any more vague?

Where does Cast lighting fall in this line up? I always thought they were one of the best lighs available.

How would you compare Volt lights in brass compared to brass with black powder coated?
That's a hard question to answer. I think they some companies with powder coating is top notch, but others aren't as good. Volt is a solid B quality for me - not the greatest, but still better than a lot.
Good vid.
Thanks!
FX RS comes in a long shroud version that looks completely normal
That's true, but I find they aren't that common compared to the short shroud.
What is the best pro grade lighting manufacturer you’ve found?
PRICES?
They range from about $40-$150 a light.
Fx makes an MU model that isn't much more than an RS, has a shroud and looks better
