Godspeed make the perfect soundtrack music to end times movies. No wonder Danny Boyle used 'East Hastings' in 28 Days Later. Honestly, they could've scored the whole soundtrack. I can imagine an entire end times movie filmed in black and white listening to their music.
gybe had turned down other movie offers. one being from Martin scosseri{sp} explosions in the sky got one they rejected. godspeed did get some flak for 28 days. Though they did maintain integrity by not allowing the track to be on the movies soundtrack release. Sure watch any b/w war documentary and pick a gybe album. It'll work.
@@joesoucy3952 People gave them shit for 28 DAys Later? That's lame. Hell that;s how I discovered them initially. Honestly that's really pretentious that people gave them shit for that. What Scorcese movie were they asked to score? So they were asked to score Firday Night Lights I assume cuz that's the only movie I recall Explosions scoring. Explosions were a less interesting band but they were also less pretentious and more open to things like that I guess. Persponally my favorite post rock bands are Do Make Say Think, Tortoise and Jaga Jazzist although the latter two are really more post jazz in a lot of ways.
@@ryobibattery ... Okay? Try shoving some The Brothers Karamazov in your fucking DVD player, let's see if it's still such a good book. Shove some pizza up your ass, let's see if it's still tasty and fills your stomach.
The name of this track for me is the description of post-rock in whole.
the vinyl edition is sooooo much better than the cd...thx for the upload
Thank you for this great music.
10:30 This part is so good
And then the part immediately following elicits an existential crisis :)

The first half sounds like a shitty cover of East Hastings... CD version is definitely better.
Shut up
The CD version is bloated shite.
Ok put the CD on the record player and tell me how it sounds
