The Russians haven't dug in since 2014 as this guy claims. They only invaded last year. It was the Ukrainians who spent the past eight years digging massive fortifications. This is why the Russians have taken so long breaking the Ukrainian defences. The Russian have indeed spent the past eight months building very deep defence lines in the South of Ukraine stretching all the way back to Crimea. And the Ukrainians have failed to even get out of no-man's land and reach the first Russian defensive lines. The counter-offensive was doomed to failure from the start. Despite the media lies, there was never a hope in hell of this counter-offensive succeeding. In fact, Ukraine was never expected to win this war, the neo-Con idea was to force Russia to invade and then use that as an excuse to apply sanctions. It was the sanctions that were meant to destroy Russia, collapse its economy, and break up Russia ready to be exploited and pillaged by Western big business.

Even the vaunted Patriot, the US best air defense system isnt anywhere near as advanced as the Russian S350, let alone the S400,450,500 or 550. Then you have to add the medium range AD such as the BukM1, M2s and M3s then the Pantsir S1,S2 then the Tor M1 and M2s for short to medium range. All of these systems with the exception of the S450, 500 and 550 are operational in Ukraine. Then you have to add on top of that the advance electronic warfare systems that Russia is employing that are jamming all sorts of communication, targeting and guidance signals. Then theres the C4ISR which tracks everything that flys from every airfield or that is launched from every system. All of these assets are net centric which means that they are all connected to each other in an advanced network and communicate with each other to share information on/about the battlefield in real time. This is why I said in the grand scheme of things I doesn't matter what the West sends them, none of them were prepared to fight this kind of advanced combined arms warfare. Not even NATO. Shoot the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO's European contingent General Cavoli said that NATO has never even imagined the scope and scale of the combat going on in Ukraine. That's NATO's top general. So if they haven't imagined it you can sure bet they have nowhere near a plan for it.

Surrounded by sea and compliant neighbors, the US has never needed to think too seriously about defense and has focused on developing weapons suitable for launching attacks against others. In contrast in its history, Russia has been invaded many times and so has had a great need to develop defensive weapons. Therefore, it should not be surprising that Russia excels at shooting down drones. Russia currently leads the world in air defense capability. Will the US try to duplicate Russian air defense capability? It could probably do so, but why would it bother when it is not at risk of invasion? Also, for the cabal in Washinton it is sufficiently gratifying to wage wars and proxy wars against others. No need to defend America, and also no need to win wars, because each time a war is lost, they obtain fresh gratification by starting another.

Yea we all like to believe the positive propaganda that is fed to us; And although probably the Ukrainians are doing very well, it's likely not all as smooth as we are led to believe and the way it's going now it will take a long time to push the Russians back all the way, even out of Crimea. Russia can also focus all their forces on 1 side because it's very unlikely the would be attacked from any other direction.

@CNN After Russia rose in a few decades from a largely illiterate, agrarian peasant population to become the world's other global superpower despite fighting two world wars on its own territory and losing 27,000,000 citizens in the second war, even beating the U.S. into space, you'd think we'd at least have come to respect their scientific abilities. ---Even the RAND Corporation has admitted that from 1927 through 1985 the USSR's economy grew far faster than that of the U.S. How are these things not understood in what is ostensibly a free, open society?

It's called learning what works. The Russians had a painful fight last year especially in certain instances. The usage of drone have made recon for artillery easier for both sides and the Zala Lancet has been a nightmare for the Ukrainians artillery crews. HIMARS have been regulated to hit artillery now as the Russians have learned how to mitigate their effect. It's all about adaptation and finding what works and what doesn't. All armies face such things. Meaning a sweeping victory is off the cards and it's back to war of attrition and the other side is out of ammo and can barely supply itself

If The West had given them all the equipment that they had asked for and which are laying around on US bases in Europe, The Fall 2022 Counter-offensive would not have to stop and let the Russians dig in.

This points to the fact that the best drones like vector, atlas and puma drones can survive long enough in the gps denied environments of Russian EW to identify these systems for Himars to take care of them.
Once these Russian jammers are out of action, this opens the floodgates for the cheaper drones to operate on the battlefield again

NATO is a defensive alliance. the Kremlin under Putin is a regime that has assumed the offensive. the military offensive that the Kremlin wages is being conducted against Ukraine and one of the pretexts being used or deployed by the Kremlin is that the war (orginally just a 'special military operation' to avoid a declaration of war) was to stop an ongoing genocide and further prevent a future genocide against native Russians in the Ukrainian east.

Having gone over the top and used its sledgehammer to try and crack the nut it can't break Federation forces have decided to double down on their President's error and seek support from Tehran (drones), from Beijing (BRI+) and from Pyongyang (production).
Russian lie two - they are defending the ethnic Russian speaking peoples from NATO imperialism
