Absolutely love Corvairs ...owned 65 Corsa Coupe back in the day ...all white 2dr with red interior. It had the 140hp engine with a 4 spd and it was surprisingly quick and very agile . I put a set of really nice chrome mags and wider tires on which really gave it a fantastic look. It was a great car . Never let me down and ran like a top always . I am so regretting that I sold it . Ralph Nader didn't know what the hell he was talking about ... I never spent a dime on his book of fiction . You have a rare Corvair here and indeed you should restore her back to her once beauty. She deserves a second chance of life on the road like all the classics we all once remembered and loved. Thanks for sharing your journey with your classic Corvair ...the best to you and Motoring when she is ready to go . I hope to see that day 😊
If I were a millionaire I would surely buy it once its Restored. Soup it up but please don't put those Stupid low rider wheels on it. Put red wall tires on it with the rims painted the color of the vehicle. Soup up that engine. Oh ya, make it Standard Shift not automatic. (So when can I expect delivery?) LOL. Paint it Burgundy, I like that color. I don't care what Ralph Nader said, FIX IT UP GUYS.
The nice thing about Corvairs is that you don't have to be a millionaire to own and maintain one. Now restoring one, yes you need to be a millionaire...very expensive process.
