You know it’s classy when they bust out the spoon on the packaging.

Your comment about refrigerated Mounds makes me ask - do you have a single favorite candy bar? If pressed, I think I choose NutRageous. Take 5 is a close second.

My favorite is probably Mallo Cups, but they're pretty hard to find. At a normal store, I'll go with Whatchamacallit. I refrigerate all of my chocolate bars, though. My all-time favorite is a coin flip between Almond Joy Bites from the early 2000s and the Thai Coconut Peanut M&Ms from a couple years ago. Three out of four of those combine chocolate with coconut, so I've certainly got a type.

@@ConsumerTimeCapsule Huh, Mallo Cups don't seem to be hard to find in the NE. Then again, I don't actively look for them, I just notice that they exist.
Thai Coconut Peanut M&Ms sound fricking awesome, though.

    Retro packaging.
I thought this was some old stuff.

The designs are fairly simple, but unfortunately, not retro designs. Could have been a cool twist.

As soon as you said "$40 worth of pudding" all I could think of was a sketch comedy show that was on MTV in the early to mid 90's... they had a sketch with these two guys LeVon & Barry, who were constantly trying to seduce women by bragging about how they had purchased "two hundred... and forty dollars... WORTH OF PUDDING" lol

That sounds hilarious. Kinda sounds like a MadTV skit... Ryan and I used to watch that all the time when we were in high school.

Interesting reviews, and I'm looking forward to the next episodes. I LOVE pudding, but am super cheap. I'll wait until they come to the discount stores.

I suspect there will be a stinger at the end of next Monday's review where the two of you are recovering from insulin shock

Haha. This was still early in the filming session, too. Not to mention, we had just drank 6 Mountain Dew Rise energy drinks, so the sugar was the least of our worries.

Haha chopped and screwed that's a reference I haven't heard in awhile. Are you in a rush to eat pudding again?

We had all 12 in the span of about 75 minutes. I'm still down for some pudding, but I think Ryan wanted to jump off a bridge by the end. Haha.

What's up, Ronnie? Long time no see. Things are great - pretty busy with work stuff and collecting stuff, but having fun. Hope all is well with you and yours, too.

I don't know about finding them at Randall's. That place closed up like 20 years ago and the building was bought out by CRST.
Also with the York, didn't feel like you're on top of the world?

    • @ConsumerTimeCapsule
      @ConsumerTimeCapsule  3 года назад

Haha. I felt on top of a small hill or something, but certainly not the world. A bunch of Randalls have closed here too, but somehow, there's still a few of them standing. I just visit there regularly because I need stuff for my collection - I'd never "actually" shop there. Haha.

@@ConsumerTimeCapsule One thing I've learned over the years. Is how often names have been used for stores or products that share with another store and or product. Randall's was a grocery story in Iowa, before getting snuffed out by the expanding Super Walmart, Hy-Vee and Fareway.

In most cases, they were. There were definitely a few exceptions, though.
