Having worked at Ruger in Prescott, AZ as a CNC operator back in 2012 on the SR line, I am not surprised by the slide stop issue. Out of 12 people on my line, I was the only one with any firearms experience and who know why the specs we were given for trigger bars were important. I was not impressed by Ruger's Quality Control people. But, I did just order a new RXM to review and test for accuracy. I carry a Sig P365 for daily carry, a Springfield Armory XD-M Elite OSP 10mm for woods carry, and compete in GSSF shoots with a Glock G35. I am a big fan of using the right tool for the job. I also drive both a Jeep and a Toyota. Brand loyalty is for suckers. Use the best tool for the job at the price point you are comfortable with. I bought the Ruger RXM solely out of curiosity and to create content. I will approach it with total objectivity, like the OP. His honesty and candid comments are what the internet needs.
Thanks for the input. I agree completely about using the right tool for the job and that band loyalty is for suckers. To many options around to pick one brand for everything.
Bought the RXM last weekend and have now about 700 rounds through it. Have had no issues with mine. I am going to replace the front sight with a fiber optic one from Dawson Precision. Great videos appreciate your viewpoints.
@ Definitely not a fan of the sight. Don’t like the green/white combo. Prefer running a fiber optic on all pistols anyways, especially with an optic. Mounted a 507c and it fits great.
Thanks for showing some potential issues that I may see with my RXM. I took it to the range today and shot 100 rounds through it with one failure to eject. I was on my last 5 rounds and it happened. Once I cleared it, it ran just fine. I've also noticed that racking a round into the chamber from pulling the slide was a bit difficult, so I just pushed down on the slide stop to release it when loading magazines. Also, I'm not a Glock guy, but I wanted a sidearm that could take Glock mags, so that if SHTF, I could have a platform that would be compatible with Glock mags.
I appreciate your honesty, you can tell some of these guys are just getting free guns and doing an infomercial, I like to tinker so this is right up my alley, but Ill wait for the price to drop
agreed, and once new colors and sizes drop I think they are going to have a huge hit as its a great price and as I mentioned Ruger really has a great network with nice customer support which is a big deal in my humble opinion.
Hey man I love your videos please don't stop the way you do them I come to RUclips to research guns that I might potentially purchase and protect my life with so I'm glad RUclipsrs like you point out flaws keep up the hard work and don't ever change
Bought one this month shoot bout 200 round thro it so far no problems an honestly i thinks its a pretty fun gun to shoot thanks for showing these issues as well
Look at the success of companies like Grit Grips, St Croix Tactical, Polymer 80, 80 Percent Arms, Aim Surplus, MDX Arms, 80 P Builder, KM Tactical, Cimbat Armory, Kive Free Armory, US Patriot Armory. Look at the PSA Dagger. Imagine how Gaston Glock felt when he realized that what grown men want today is not simply a reliably functioning firearm but actually a Lego set that goes bang.
I don't think Gaston cared. He made the glock for Austrian military contracts, he didn't make it for us. I like glock but that's how it's always been. They care about the government contracts first and foremost and civilians are an after thought/secondary market.
sadly shills or playing the algorithm game which I understand but we need to keep the honest reviewers alive as well great it just becomes hard but.... still possible! haha
Many guntubers are good at telling viewers what they think the viewers want to hear. I enjoyed this vid and appreciate your content. Keep up the good work
It's 399 dollars bro, maybe they didn't have the same issue. But I will say Lucas mentioned the slide didn't lock back once. He attributed it to user error.
I just saw a video on the slide stop issue. The fix is replacing the slide stop spring with a Glock Gen 3 spring. That spring is stronger and different than the spring Ruger uses. The video went into great detail, and made a big difference.
A simple thing really. BUT, Ruger should have done better. No one wants to be BETA testers, even for minor niggles. ... (SIG SAUER, I'M LOOKING AT YOU !)
Don't listen to haters. I'm here for the honest content and like the fact you don't just shoot one video and say it's good. Keep on keeping on. I'm glad I'm here for it! 💯💯💯
I have had mine for 3 weeks. 600 rounds latter. OEM doesn’t function properly. 100% failures occurred with OEM mags. Zero failures with MagPul mags. Exceptional value for 379.00. Would I buy it again. Yes.
Exactly. I've purchased a lot of pistols that have had issues that no one wants to talk about. It's the reason I started recording the videos and documenting each round.
Sure many people appreciate your reviews. Like you said people just want validation for their choices instead of just taking your video as your experience
I agree. I take the good and the bad. I always appreciate people pointing out the bad because too many focus on the good or don’t put enough rounds through em. Brand loyalty is awful. Learn to be fluid.
But also worth noting Ruger is one of those companies that is consistently inconsistent. Maybe so depending on the firearm line, since they make LOTS of Sku's. This is partly why everyone praises their customer service so much. So many people have to use it.
Just found you when I was trying to find information on this gun. I have enjoyed your reviews and the fact that it’s not just a one and done review the slide stop issue wouldn’t bother me because I’m not looking to get one to use as a carry gun just looking for something decently priced for plinking thats not a 22
At least you don't have to spend your own 200-300 rounds to break in like the CR920's, now thats ridiculous ! I'd pick this RXM over the CR920 just because it works right out of the box. I think they did a great job and you did too, Thx man.
I've never purchased a Shadow Systems and I heard so many random things from good to bad that I don't know what to believe. I think the RXM will end up being a fine pistol for plenty of people.
They have better tolerances than Glock(slide-to-rail fitment) how is this an issue? I'd by my last that if a Tuber had a Giveaway with the winner having the option to choose between a Shadow Systems or a Gen 5 Glock 99 out of 100 would choose the Shadow Systems. Glock is out of 50$ per and charging upwards to 700$ but you will defend Glock until the cows come home! But if Sig. Walther or HK pistol costs a little more you all are up in arms! Make it make sense.
I try and run a minimum of 1K rounds through any firearm I review with multiple “check ins” as I’m able to. 100% the comment section goes nuts when there’s problems mentioned. It sucks sometimes working through those types of comments, but it’s just part of the game. Oftentimes I learn a lot from comments as well as I don’t know everything and treat all aspects of life as a potential learning opportunity. Anyways, great video! No Ruger RXM here yet, it when I pick one up, it’ll get the shakedown as usual.
For me the only pistol with an internal fire control chassis that actually works and is reliable for the money is the full size iwi Masada. They have a compact slim version. But won’t allow for a mounted light unless you get a separate aluminum grip module for a couple hundo. But there full size and tactical models are available and reliable.
Don't change a thing. Telling the unvarnished truth sets you apart from the vast majority of guntubers, and there are literally a hundred other channels people can go to if they're not happy here.
A lot of RUclipsrs get the gun sent to them and the manufacturer wants a positive review. I want a review that shows both the pros and cons of something. That way I can make my own decision. Only a few people show the facts. If you want drama watch the news.
that gap was the first thing a friend pointed out to me on my RXM. The day I bought it we ran abot 50rds through it as well as a glock 19 for comparison. I personally liked the RXM better but i may be biased. It just felt better in my fat hand lol. anyway Great video! And your right, I watched the same amount of video to validate my purchase as I did before I bought it 😂
Security 9 was doo doo. I had 2 because it was the most comfortable carrying gun I ever had but damn those things malfunctioned once or twice every 100 rounds. Couldn't find any common reasons. The trigger broke on one of them twice (totally inoperable). Sent back both times, great customer service and quick fix. But I didn't trust them enough any more to carry them.
Great job on the content. I realy appreciate your honesty on the firearms you review. I too watch videos to determine weather I buy a firearm of a certain type. I always look for simplicity, reliability and price point. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more videos. Maybe you could do a video on the Mossberg MC2sc I have one and love it.
I think my bigger issue, which some guntubers have done recently, is when they have a glaring obvious manufacturing issue and they just say the gun is bad. On I can think of was the M&P 2.0 carry comp. I think one or 2 had an issue where pulling the trigger pulled the slide stop up causing a malfunction. I had the same gun and mine didn’t do that. And they call out this issue which they should. But then they just let call the gun bad and then never get the gun fixed and do a follow up review to see how it does after it’s been fixed. Which I think is a huge injustice to everyone and the gun. What you did with this is good, I haven’t so far seen anyone else with this issue. You called it out, obviously showed it, then fixed the issue and so on. That’s really good, now people know that issue is certainly possible and they can keep an eye out for it. But now people can see how the gun really performs if there is no issue or if they have this issue and get it fixed.
It tells me you're a practical person who realizes you edc is for self defense. Five rounds is plenty and if it doesn't go band you just keep pulling the trigger. I carry a 340PD quite a bit depending on the time of the year.
Yep! In a world of “wonder 9’s” I carry a S&W 442 Performance Center every day. I think most of the gun community needs to put down the Call of Duty controller and turn off the John Wick movies and hop back into reality.
@averagemarksman Thanks , 1 thing i noticed was on the floor model I looked at those fins in magwell were chewed up ,from just customers playing with it , mine out of box were perfect. But I'm wondering how they will hold up after a bunch of reloads 🤔
@@bringbacktradition6470 the XD Mod 3 did great for us. We’ve put 1200 rounds through it without cleaning it and still haven’t had a single malfunction. There’s a video playlist on the channel.
The one problem that I have only seen Howard Fumk talk about is that a long screw will impinge on the extractor. That is a problem with original Glock MOS as well.
Lots of directly mounted optic systems have had similar problems. We have screw kit with lots of options so we didn’t have any issues when the optic was mounted.
I have had no issues with the Holosun HE507C GR X2. It uses the RMR footprint. No overhang. But yeah, the OG RMR is wide. I do think there is a difference between an individual issue and a systemic issue. I've seen a trend with all the manufacturers have QC issues of late.
This actually could be the very 'best' Ruger 9mm EVER ! ... They haven't made any outstanding 9mm pistols since the SR9 and SR9c. Although it's a little sad that it had to be an improved Glock design, rather than their own innovation. 😢
dam 1,000 views in 3 hours! great work. You are on the way I think this series is going to blow your channel up,,, may want to due a few more even though I know your kinda not feeling it. I have an idea due you have a glock 19? is so even basic info like showing the basics like slide swaps, showing how you changed the RXM even though you have to tread careful it can be shown, it's kinda boring stuff to many but your video is trending so it's a good time to pull in viewers and many will be new so basic is valuable to them. Just some ideas as we all like to see and honest review or talk thru without shilling.
Ruger makes a fine product. They will get any issues that exist ironed out. The Ruger RXM is a Gen 3 Glock 19 clone so any Gen 3 Glock 19 slide will fit. I do not have a Gen 3 Glock 19 on hand though and it's hard to rush out and by something thats pretty outdated today.
I undestand, just throwing some ideas as you video must be trending somewhat as I'm new so throwing ideas out Hey I am Curious you did a little series on subcompacts what did you settle on?
I have a few different adapter plates on various pistols but I don't plan to remove or install them on the RMX. Overall I think the gun is reliable. I think the gun will have issues for some. They will either be able to fix it themselves or Ruger will resolve the issue for them.
Your issue with the RMR seems to be just that; an issue with the RMR. I have a Holosun 507C that uses the same RMR mounting footprint. It has a sealed bottom, so there are no sensitive electronics exposed, so the slight overhang doesn't affect it. I like not having to use a plate. I have a very similar issue with my slide stop. I see now that the front corner of the top of my Glock magazines makes contact with the slide stop and pushes it up. The slide stop overhangs the magwell too much. No contact should be made there. It only seems to make contact when I have the gun resting on the magazine or when I first insert the magazine. If the slide stop arm was shaped a little differently and didn't hang over the empty magwell, I think the my issue wouldn't exist. I guess I'll be sending this back to Ruger. Disappointing.
I'm not a fan of optics hanging several mm's over the side of the slide at all. (sealed or not sealed). A quality plate dresses the situation up and provides a better solution in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with people having a different thought process. I hate that you're having an issues with the slide stop. I think they could have tweaked the design a bit and prevented the slide stop issues.
It's fine to tell us about problems, just make sure they are problems before you say anything. The RMR thing was ridiculous....you shouldn't have even made that video. If you don't want comments turn them off....but you won't because you need them.
It's not ridiculous. It's an issue that a group of people will run into. There's no reason for that slide to be milled for an RMR footprint. The adapter system works great and provides a cleaner install. That's my opinion and I have no issues with your opinion. You can love the RXM. There are better options available in my opinion.
And acting like some Guntubers don't specifically go negative on guns that are generally well received is ridiculous. Are there some that are pretty "shilly"? Of course, but I've seen a couple of videos know where the issue was the screw with the RMR and the extractor...should that be pointed out? Again, of course, but one guy was acting like the gun wasn't working right out of the box when he never actually showed himself shooting it without an after-market addition he made himself to the pistol. And then you get a guy like G Squared Tactical who's done like three videos now on this pistol when it's clearly negative engagement farming. His main issue with the pistol seems to be "Ruger shouldn't be making Glock clones"....I'm sorry, but that's not actually a gun review....it's some dude getting in his feelings about a company's business decisions. If he wants to make an editorial video on his philosophy regarding Ruger's business decisions and product lines....fine, but just don't act like that's some "review" of the pistol itself....and then respond to people pointing it out with "Y'ALL JUST CAN'T HANDLE MY HONESTY"......give me a break.
Hey Nick, like always thanks for providing an honest review. How many of these did Ruger send out to guntubers? Lol. It appears they sent out hundreds if not more. Anyway, I appreciate your candid reviews and telling it how it is. I saw a similar slide lock issue with the S&W M&P 2.0 Metal Carry Comp. Not sure why people are upset. This shouldn't happen with a new purchase. Unfortunately it's the luck of the draw
glad you showed up in my algorithm. I think your honestly will upset many, but you are smart and understand. Please don't let this stop you as there will be many (like 95% will never post) who want these videos but avoid comments or drama. I have a couple ideas watching some of your content, if I get time I will try to make a quick list and send it over.
Kyle, thanks for watching and subscribing. You're right. Most of the people who watch the videos will never comment and I understand why. It's not worth the headache. I look forward to reading the tips.
PSA made the Dagger. Is Ruger re-badging Daggers, or did they bring this to the party a couple years after the Dagger? The Dagger beat them to it and I got one. Just $379 with TEN Magpul 15 round Glock mags. That was a tough bargain to beat and its been perfect. A terrific gun in all ways. I like Rugers and hope this does well. I will say that the Magpul Glock mags work just as well in my Dagger as they do in my Ruger PC9 carbine. All three companies make great stuff.
That interference between slide stop and the internal metal chassis could be cured easily enough by some filing on the slide stop, right? I'm exactly the type that would do that, but I'm also crazy enough to have built a magazine fed revolver :). The reason this gun interests me is: * Better optics mount than the Glock MOS. By a mile. * $40 grip frames from Magpul tell me I can mod a grip frame however I want while risking only $40. Nice. * Magpul is saying they're going to ship both longer (19x?) and shorter (G26-oid?) grip frames within 6 months. Magpul is a legit shop who likely want to be ergonomics consultants on more projects - with Ruger or who knows what else. The really interesting competitor is the Echelon 4". HS Produkt put some really good barrels in both Echelon lengths. We're getting reports of really tight groups. They're also abandoning optics plates which is a "hell yes" for me. The RXM is around $200 cheaper than the Echelon (comparing on gunbroker). $200 is also plenty to throw a Gucci level barrel in the Ruger, putting them at the same price point. Assuming the Ruger benefits from a better barrel and they start running even on both price and accuracy, which is better? If you like flexibility...Ruger? One more detail. I've been messing around with homebrew gas pedals mounted on the underbarrel rail, made out of upside down optics risers chopped up some :). With the Ruger, stressing the plastic to the cracking point is only a $40 mistake...
Nice review, but I'm really getting tired of hearing people saying it's "a 20 year old design" and "just another Gen3 clone". Well, most current Glocks are basically the same design from *40* years ago. The RXM at least tries to improve on the design and give a couple of features current shooters want - the fire control module and a plate-less optic cut that works with several patterns. In the meantime, Glock still won't give buyers something else they really want - metal OEM sights. It's also a little annoying when people complain that others might want a different color frame - why should other people's color preferences matter to you? Geez, just be glad there are others who like guns and support the 2A.
We all know the potential of the modular fire control group. Now if Magpul starts dropping PDW / PCC modules for this, the 320, the 365 that are affordable... Like $200 affordable, sales with skyrocket.
Thanks! So true. Cognitive dissonance, people reject information that is inconsistent with their actions or beliefs. Thus, if I bought the RXM, and you say it has a problem, then you must be incorrect, or stupid/fill in the blanks. Remember the Canik golden piece. Wow! The RXM would be OK for a budget minded owner who can't spring for something else more upscale.
It's frustrating. I've bought tons of items in life that had small issues or features that wouldn't work with something. I'd like to know about those issues prior to buying the item. I'm sure the RXM will serve a handful of people well.
That's a common issue with all directly mounted optics. The screws that come with the optic are typically to long and intended for shims/adapter plates.
The negative to copying the gen3 is copying the problems they had. Funky slide stop, slide lock spring, and single RSA for examples. Strange they all involve springs. 😮
Yeah don't take the comments personally. Just keep giving reviews warts and all. I usually watch reviews BEFORE I buy but this time it was an impulse buy. Haven't had issues with mine and hope it turns out to be a solid purchase. I don't get personally attached so if it is trouble prone off it goes
I still shoot night sights on my Glock. Ruger making their GLUGER copy of Gen 3, I'd like one (More than a PSA or other Clone) I am not a fan of the Sig P320, however I would have one with a FLUX RAIDER as a BACK PACK CARRY!
@@TheDallasdeadeye why would anyone buy a Gen 3 Glock in 2025 when you could buy a Gen 5 Glock? M&P, Springfield? So many options. The real question is - why do so many people defend companies who knock off a Gen 3 Glock? It’s wild - twenty years from now companies will be knocking off Gen 5 Glocks and people will be calling those companies innovated.
No one wants to mention all the Glock problems when they first came out police departments had so many issues that they went back to the S&W and some rugers and as far as the red dot mounting system, Ruger knows about the open bottom red dots in theory is that most red dots now are going to top load battery that this is not an issue there’s less and less people out there with bottom load battery systems it’s changing out there are very thin gaskets you can buy for sites that won’t mess up the height. They’re very very thin and they work.
@@averagemarksman My dept had problems with Glock 22 Gen3 .40SW. Problems is an understatement. But the problems came with attaching lights on the front rails. Some brands & models of lights caused failure to feeds, while other lights did not. Glock made a lukewarm attempt to work with our armory staff. Mostly just making stronger operating springs and stronger magazine springs. Nothing solved the problem of Glock imperfection so Glock walked away. Moral of the story:: when you tinker with add-ons or mods to the original physics, things can go sideways
Ruger has stooped to new lows by blatantly copying Gaston Glock's 1998 Glock 19 Gen3 design, clearly aiming to milk expired patents for quick profits without offering any real innovation. Instead of advancing firearm technology, Ruger chooses to exploit a proven model, demonstrating a shocking lack of creativity and commitment to quality. This desperate cash grab not only undermines Ruger's reputation but also shows they’d rather steal brilliance than invest in their own advancements. It’s disappointing to see Ruger prioritize making a fast buck over contributing anything meaningful to the industry.
This is dumb. Ruger has a couple of the most copied guns ever made. G19 have been copied by everyone else already. Not to mention 1911s and ARs. It's the way the industry works.
@@samnooney9186 That “This is dumb” line is peak dumb 🤣. Congratulations on championing Ruger by proclaiming they’re “most copied”-as if that automatically means they can do no wrong. Yes, G19 knockoffs are everywhere, but that doesn’t make cloning a 1998 blueprint any less lazy. And sure, people replicate 1911s and ARs, but at least some competitors attempt some genuine improvements rather than cramming a jumbled “modular” system down users’ throats. Ruger’s take is more like a puzzle game: piece this in here, wedge that in there, and hope everything holds together. Meanwhile, a truly modern fire control unit-like SIG Sauer’s-actually comes as one self-contained piece, not a fidget-fest of sub-components. If you prefer fumbling around with loose parts, more power to you-just don’t pretend it’s some triumph of modern design. So while you cheer Ruger for “leading” the copycat pack, the real achievement is their epic dedication to sidestepping any meaningful innovation. If that’s what you call progress, then by all means, wave that Ruger pom-pom high. But doubling or tripling down on dumb doesn’t change the fact that Ruger’s “new” design is a warmed-over remix of someone else’s work.
While there are definitely people who buy something and then watch stuff for validation, these are some pretty nitpicky issues you’re making a big deal out of. I haven’t bought one, but I’m interested, and these things just don’t seem like deal breakers. Not that you shouldn’t point out even small issues, but your tone is suggesting that they amount to a crap product when that really doesn’t seem to be the case.
Pointing out the slide stop doesn't function properly shouldn't be considered nitpicky in my opinion. Reloading is pretty important. The RMR situation could be considered nitpicky but there's a reason companies don't mill RMR footprints into Glock slides - it's not thick enough and adapter plate allows for a quality installation. I do come off as blunt - it happens.
@ 1. Ngl, didn’t see your previous vid on the slide stop. That is a bit more concerning, but I’m not seeing a ton of reports so here’s hoping it’s a small issue that can be addressed quickly. 2. RMR cut complaint is a total nitpick, as it only applies to one optic out of the sea of viable (and honestly better) options. 3. No one likes the MOS plate system from Glock, and serious shooters have been avoiding it and having their standard Glocks direct milled to the RMR footprint basically since the MOD introduction, so that’s just kinda a silly comment.
Seems you're reading more into his descriptive commentary than it provides. He described the situation as he encountered it. It upset you. And that's okay, because the world needs more sensitive caring people.
Hey man, shit happens. Sometimes you get a dud, sometimes you get a stud. Unfortunately you got a dud with the slide stop but I'm glad you got that sorted out. You tube is a blessing and a curse lol. While I may not 100 percent agree with you on every one of your points they appear to be valid from your perspective and I appreciate your tenacity on this. Making follow up videos multiple days in a row vs just one and done. 👍 Keep doing what you are doing. Have yourselves a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year.

I'm glad you haven't had any issues. You were not a fan of the front sight either?
@ Definitely not a fan of the sight. Don’t like the green/white combo. Prefer running a fiber optic on all pistols anyways, especially with an optic. Mounted a 507c and it fits great.
@ makes sense to me.
Hey, your going against one of the selling points of the gun.
What I like about it, it made every gun out there without a red dot mount even cheaper. 😂
Let’s hope.

Many guntubers are good at telling viewers what they think the viewers want to hear. I enjoyed this vid and appreciate your content. Keep up the good work
That makes sense, Mike. There’s a lot less blow back if you read the marketing material and tell people what they want to hear. Thanks for watching.
Agree. The worst is “reviewers” who essentially just read off specs etc... lame.
It's 399 dollars bro, maybe they didn't have the same issue. But I will say Lucas mentioned the slide didn't lock back once. He attributed it to user error.
Thank you for your videos, thoughts and opinions! Awesome stuff!

Agreed, it's a Glock.
Had to have one ran 340 rounds not a problem.
Have problems with many manufacturers.
All manufactures have problems. No doubts about it.
Keep on doing what you're doing.. I enjoy your videos

I just saw a video on the slide stop issue. The fix is replacing the slide stop spring with a Glock Gen 3 spring. That spring is stronger and different than the spring Ruger uses. The video went into great detail, and made a big difference.
Sure would be nice if a quality spring came with the gun from the factory.
@@averagemarksman If really want to copy Glock, then you have to sell it with some Meh parts that are easily replaced. 👀🫤
I actually happened to have a complete slide stop/spring I might just install. It does suck that the spring isn’t strong enough from the factory….
@ it’s a simple fix though. Thankfully.
Thanks for watching, Joey.
I have had mine for 3 weeks. 600 rounds latter. OEM doesn’t function properly. 100% failures occurred with OEM mags. Zero failures with MagPul mags. Exceptional value for 379.00. Would I buy it again. Yes.
Always appreciate real issues each purchase will have diff experiences so people need to realize it’s a sample of one
Learn to be fluid.
great point! im trying to reply to a ton to help with views as I see this video is collecting views so good time to help comment.
But also worth noting Ruger is one of those companies that is consistently inconsistent. Maybe so depending on the firearm line, since they make LOTS of Sku's. This is partly why everyone praises their customer service so much. So many people have to use it.
Just found you when I was trying to find information on this gun. I have enjoyed your reviews and the fact that it’s not just a one and done review the slide stop issue wouldn’t bother me because I’m not looking to get one to use as a carry gun just looking for something decently priced for plinking thats not a 22
I think the slide stop issue is fixable. Annoying but fixable. Thanks for watching.
Sometimes it’s a tough crowd. Even when you document every round through the gun and talk about issues as they happen.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks the content and showing the issues keep it coming sir!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, Bob.
I really enjoy your videos and honest opinions. I would like to see a review of the Rost Martin.
Maybe one day I will see a Rost Martin in person and pick it up.
If we have any failures we aren’t gonna talk about it cause this is the best gun of 2024. Haha 😂
Hahah. I couldn’t help myself.
Great review. I like this type honesty
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the support, Martin.
Agree w Martin. So many pathetic little weasels.
A lot of RUclipsrs get the gun sent to them and the manufacturer wants a positive review. I want a review that shows both the pros and cons of something. That way I can make my own decision. Only a few people show the facts. If you want drama watch the news.
Thanks for commenting, Robert. I hope you have a good weekend.
that gap was the first thing a friend pointed out to me on my RXM. The day I bought it we ran abot 50rds through it as well as a glock 19 for comparison. I personally liked the RXM better but i may be biased. It just felt better in my fat hand lol. anyway Great video! And your right, I watched the same amount of video to validate my purchase as I did before I bought it 😂
Haha. We all watch videos to validate our purchases. The gap is interesting and I didn’t notice it at first. It’s a fine shooting pistol.
I would invest in the tango down upgrade slide release. Please do a clone wars.

The SR9 & Security 9 was the best handgun Ruger ever made in my opinion
I'm sure a lot of people feel that way.
But I didn't trust them enough any more to carry them.
haters gonna hate. keep doing what ya do
Thanks for watching, Dale.
Thanks for watching, Eric. Maybe one day we will get our hands on the Mossberg.
The camera for some reason making that 30 rounder look like its a 60 rounder lol
Using a Gen 3 system isn't a dealbreaker for me. But my EDC is a 642 so what does that tell you? Thanks for an unbiased assessment.
It tells me you're a practical person who realizes you edc is for self defense. Five rounds is plenty and if it doesn't go band you just keep pulling the trigger. I carry a 340PD quite a bit depending on the time of the year.
@@averagemarksman A man of good taste!
Yep! In a world of “wonder 9’s” I carry a S&W 442 Performance Center every day. I think most of the gun community needs to put down the Call of Duty controller and turn off the John Wick movies and hop back into reality.
@@SensibleEDC Amen.
Just picked mine up today , wont be able to shoot untill this weekend. I agree with the RMR sticking off. 👍
I think you'll enjoy it. The trigger is pretty good compared to Glock.
@averagemarksman Thanks , 1 thing i noticed was on the floor model I looked at those fins in magwell were chewed up ,from just customers playing with it , mine out of box were perfect. But I'm wondering how they will hold up after a bunch of reloads 🤔
Keep posting negative reviews. This got my sub.

Thanks for watching, Dale.
The confusing part to me is people are expecting 100% flawlessness with a $400 firearm. It’s just like anything else - you kinda get what you pay for
There are a few guns in the $325-$400 price range that are fantastic these days.
@@averagemarksman Which one in that range stands out the most to you?
@@bringbacktradition6470 the XD Mod 3 did great for us. We’ve put 1200 rounds through it without cleaning it and still haven’t had a single malfunction. There’s a video playlist on the channel.
If all these companies are copying Glock, then Glock must have done something right
@@METALMILITANT-j4j exactly.
Ruger RXM - There's a reason GunTuber's Don't Point Out Issues

Do you not have an adopter plate to install on it?
I have a few different adapter plates on various pistols but I don't plan to remove or install them on the RMX. Overall I think the gun is reliable. I think the gun will have issues for some. They will either be able to fix it themselves or Ruger will resolve the issue for them.
Keep on keeping on brother... Subscribed
Thanks for subscribing.
You get all of this and more at a cheaper price with Arex delta L Gen 2
It's fine to tell us about problems, just make sure they are problems before you say anything. The RMR thing was ridiculous....you shouldn't have even made that video.
If you don't want comments turn them off....but you won't because you need them.
It's not ridiculous. It's an issue that a group of people will run into. There's no reason for that slide to be milled for an RMR footprint. The adapter system works great and provides a cleaner install. That's my opinion and I have no issues with your opinion. You can love the RXM. There are better options available in my opinion.
@@averagemarksmanThe slide being cut for an RMR is necessary to use it with just the sealing plate. You keep getting hung up on the adapter.
Did you make sure you're the problem.?!
Or did you comment ridiculously,,, probably not even been doing any commenting.
It is luck of the draw. I’m sure the Ruger customer support will get it worked out for people.

The reason this gun interests me is:
* Better optics mount than the Glock MOS.
Bravo. Subscribed. 'Nuff said. 👍

@@averagemarksman You're welcome
We all know the potential of the modular fire control group. Now if Magpul starts dropping PDW / PCC modules for this, the 320, the 365 that are affordable... Like $200 affordable, sales with skyrocket.
Magpul is 100% in it to sell every possible color grip/frame possible. That are going to make a ton of money.
Not sure about flux since they have a big deal but strike industry coming out with an smc for this will definitely sell like hot cakes

Thanks!
I did see one guy ( can't recall who ) point out an issue with an optic installed that had screws that were too long.
That's a common issue with all directly mounted optics. The screws that come with the optic are typically to long and intended for shims/adapter plates.
6:14 be careful on that steel, it looks like a ricochet hit the leaves in front of you.
We noticed it as it happen and talked about it after. That’s why you always were eye protection. It happens from time to time.
The negative to copying the gen3 is copying the problems they had. Funky slide stop, slide lock spring, and single RSA for examples. Strange they all involve springs. 😮
Agreed.
Well done!

All manufacturers have issues. Which Glock release did the police departments have issues with? Are talking about the Gen 3's?
@@averagemarksman My dept had problems with Glock 22 Gen3 .40SW. Problems is an understatement. But the problems came with attaching lights on the front rails. Some brands & models of lights caused failure to feeds, while other lights did not. Glock made a lukewarm attempt to work with our armory staff. Mostly just making stronger operating springs and stronger magazine springs. Nothing solved the problem of Glock imperfection so Glock walked away.

I hear the Mossberg MC2C is pretty Good!!!
I've heard a few good things about it as well.
Good sense
