Nilla brand vanilla wafers are by far the BEST!!
Cooking time will vary according to the wattage of each microwave.
Mine is 1200 watt and only takes 4 minutes.
Thanks for sharing this modern way of making an old-fashioned "NANER PUDDING" as my granddaughter calls it! 😂

Thank you Mama Sue for making the banana pudding this way because I hate the new way people make it with Cool Whip, so gross. I’m going to make it this way. Thank you again so much. 😊

I can't tell you how many times I've scorched the pudding on the top of the stove, thinking "I've got this," lol. I didn't know you could do this in the microwave. Thanks for sharing and God bless you! this is the first time I've posted to your videos. Greetings from Georgia!

    Hey y'all
I love banana pudding! This is an interesting recipe. Never knew you could do this in the microwave 😮
I don't like meringue though .... However, I layer mine the same way..... I'll have to try that microwave trick.
Have a wonderful day ❤️. God bless 🙏

❤mama taught me 2 ways growing up - the double broiler & the banana pudding entirely baked in the oven , pudding and all! homemade has always been my favorite & making it always reminds me of her❤ she also taught me the stove top method for her lemon meringue and key lime pie & they're so much better than the stores!! thank you for the trick in the microwave!! I've always liked licking the beaters after getting the meringue ready!! boy I miss mama! do u mind me asking what part of the South are you from?

Love this recipe, will have to try it. I noticed that as you was mixing the meringue your bowl was moving around on you. If you would place a towel under your bowl it will keep it from moving on you so much,

Have you ever used this custard and use coconut or pineapple instead of bananas? They're both delicious!!!
