Flutter is an SDK owned by Google to create applications for Android and iOS using a single codebase. Flutter uses the Dart programming language (also owned by Google). Flutter was in beta when I released this video, so things might still change a bit. But the SDK is already mature enough to write some cool production apps!

Hi Pawan! Thank you for your video! My camera is scanning the barcode however it displays 'Instance of 'Future ' rather than the data from the barcode for some reason. Do you have any idea why this may be? Thank you!

I get an issue when i press the back button, could you help please?
i'm using another function too which using async 'await http.get' on it. I don't know why if i declare that function even i never call it, the scanner is always get error(Blank like on your tutorial) when i press the back button, but it's works fine if i scan the barcode and get the value of the barcode.

How could I read a qr code from a file? I know I could do it natively in Android/iOS, but I'm trying to find a way of doing it in Flutter/Dart

However, When I ran the app I noticed that the QR code was scanning but not the 2D codes. Can you confirm that the app is capable of scanning the 2D barcodes? If so, am I overlooking some certain setup? I really appreciate your answer. Thank you again.

Getting errors in AndroidMainFest.xml file android:name=".MainActivity" android:name="io.flutter.app.FlutterApplication" these 2 lines are red and preventing to run App i tried to copy the code of this file from your github but these errors are cooming again

Is it better than Java/kotlin for android?
That,s My channel development is pretty fast to me compared to kotlin/java. For example in creating tabs with native you have to create a n XML file, the main java/kotlin file, an adapter,etc. But with flutter its just a widget with a tabcontroller. Probably in native you could do more custom stuff with it but the development in flutter is just fast especially with the hot reload feature
when i scan aadhar card it only shows some random digit as result like 1458795
Aadhar Card is not supposed to be scanned with this though but text recognition should work. May be it's not stable yet. I'll check it out soon. Thanks for the feedback

I encountered this same error. You can use barcode_scan: ^0.0.4 instead in your Pubspec.yaml instead.
Its working fine by adding android.enableJetifier=true and android.useAndroidX=true in build project and change the classpath to 3.3.1

I have a problem mac os , i dont run flutter doctor, appear Waiting for another flutter command to release the startup lock...
That means some flutter related operation is already happening.
but Flutter doctor no respond, flutter create no respond.... is so slow

while clicking the scan button,the app will be crashed
I follow the tutorial and restart the app just like at 23 :00 min and the my build gradle build fails : "The Gradle failure may have been because of AndroidX incompatibilities in this Flutter app."

the new version of barcode_scan is built in Kotlin, so you need create the fluter project with "flutter create -a kotlin project_name"

I figured out why it didn't run on IOS simulator. Turns out there is no camera application in the IOS simulator for any version of IOS

3. Update your buildscript in build.gradle with ext.kotlin_version = '1.3.0'
4.Use Gradle com.android.tools.build:gradle:3.3.0
