It’s just my opinion ,I have been with Indian community for past 11 yrs ,they are very competitive.There would be one group of working Moms who would mingle with on working mom’s to grow in their career and other group of Stay At Home Mom’s (SAHM’s ) who would focus on their kids studies and will be like my Kid is in GT program (Gifted and Talent ) program and influence others to do what they do with their kids .And in Indian community is diverse ,you will not have Bengali community people in one place .
And I dont have much experience with American’s .My American neighbor ,the wife helped by reaching us when our pipes broke due to frost and it was flooding our bedroom.So she was helpful .
It is better to be on your own ,doing vlogs .There will be lot of politics in Indian community and very competitive.
This totally matches with my experience. Thanks for sharing your experience rather than sugar coating. The purpose of immigration is to integrate with the society. But unfortunately Indians do not do that rather they would be happy competing in their own bubble. Very sad. 🙏

I totally agree with all of you. Very competitive, politics, groups , sub groups, region/ caste groups what not.I came to know that so many groups people will create my 14 years stay in USA i have experienced all these
I too agree.....I don't like to unnecessarily compete with others in community groups.....It looks childish. Instead,we can better our skills. More peaceful environment at home without unnecessary competition and stress.
Many immigrants come to this country and don't integrate. Though you can preserve your culture you have to adapt to life here to some extent. Living in a bubble restricts to one mindset. Children being raised here don't have the same mindset. You can not restrict them to only associating with Indian classmates. The more you do that they will be lost as there is different cultural expectations at home and when they are in school they are exposed to different views. They have to take the best of both cultures and adapt and learn to live in this world that is diverse. Some Indian communities are too focused on competition and status and comparing kids accomplishments. Quite frankly it is my American friends who had my back in time of need. Indian friends are fair weather friendships for the most part. (Here for the good times disappear in bad times)
Payal i dont agree with such view that only need indian community. We have come to america let us respect white also and we csn stay among them. If they have so much indian go india. I have all american friends

If she is happy with her family ,let her be ,because she is not dependent on anyone and has to have,friends ,around ger 24/ 7,she is happy and nor depressed ,she also talks to her parents and in laws ,quite a bit ,so maybe that is all she needs and she she feels she needs friends she will then , makes friends, Payal you do you,do not worry about opinions
“all or nothing”. Is not the way to go with making friends, we have moved multiple states, upstate NY very few Indians. It was American friends who came through.
I also live in white community Payal it's really hard to make friends becoz of different culture,. I love ur vlogs they give me positive energy just ignore nosey people ❤ 😊

New lens is so good clarity :) , we yesterday was talking same thing, we came from India its 3 years now my son is in 11th grade , but he is so reserved and me too I live in suburbs , so quite, whole day at home :( ,, just thinking that may be after 3-4 years move back to India as we are in our 40's so we can live with our old parents too 💖

Hey Payal, I have yet to catch up on your this vlog..for your ear problem, if you haven't resolved already try putting debrox ( ear wax thinner)...sometimes ear wax accumulates which makes it difficult ... It's over the counter and doesn't need any doctor prescription

Please put some coconut oil in your mouth and gargle after spit it out.
You will see a lot of difference.

Payal, scientific fact, ear infection is not contagious!!!! But cold is contagious that could develop into ear infection.
The cold could be viral or allergies.

Kindly use some mild antiseptic drops like soframycin ear/ drops . They aren’t harmful . And can be used without doctors prescription.
Do not ignore thinking , it’s allergy .

If you have betadine gargle please bring that do gargling . Throat nose ears are connected so may be this will be useful . This too isnot having side effects .
That’s the reason I feel Bharat is having best medical services , than us .
U need to stop using your ear buds for some days ... These are also one of the reasons you get ear infections
After watching your last video, I went to urgent care for ear pain and sore throat. They checked for strep , covid, and ear infection. Nothing but saw some fluids in ear. So started generic form of Claritin D. There is ear pain but little less . I hope you feel better too meri saheli ❤
Payal your daughter will go to college soon . Please move to New Jersey Princeton, Plainsboro, south Brunswick. You will feel you are in iNDIA and commuting to New York is easy .you can plan now as we are all getting old and it makes a big difference . I used to live in Clifton earlier and was so sad, but after moving to an Indian place everything changed and don’t miss India . The schools are very good.
Actually Princeton is far from New York as Shamik’s office is near to Grand Central and he does almost 4 days a week to city now plus Rai will go and then Sid will begin his journey so we are confused as our among top 20 schools in New York . But you are correct as we grow old we need some Indian community. I feel it now

My sister lives in Princeton and commutes to New York thrice a week . Lot of Indian community all park their car and go to New York. I know it will be further , but no big deal worth considering . Many of my friends moved and are happy as there is so much activity .
I understand everything cannot be perfect . Someone has to compromise . Even my husband used to drive to Secaucus every day .

Payal, lens is definitely different and flood...your old lens emits yellow light whereas new lens emits white light and is more clear...but i would say both are good....the content you provide is more important....if to give my honest opinion both are good....when editing you decide if you want to keep or return.

its so true abt making friends, dere r perks of staying in indian community. i guess only ppl staying here ll understand dese things. i was so worried if we ll hav indians or nt wen we bought home, bt thankfully we hav few family.
Your thecha recipe is not correct… don’t add so much of oil to the pan while you cook chilies and other stuff… only small teaspoons full is good enough.. don’t add jeera… just chilies until they have some spots on them then garlic and then peanuts and then dhaniya and add 10/12 dhaniya saboot(seeds) if u want to add coconut then add dry one and then pulse it in mixir jar don’t make a paste out of it… it should have some corse ness to it
Hi di I’m a dentist and I would suggest have a check with ur dentist for ur pain, if the pain is behind the ears and radiating towards your teeth n jaw. Have a check with ur dentist.

Try putting a heat pad on your neck and behind the ear. Do you have any balm? Like tiger balm. You can apply that too. If not that apply lavender oil ,massage and apply heat pad.
Hope u feel better. You can get lavender oil at any store or at ama,on. Just make sure it's pure form

I too am an Indian living in a rich white neighborhood. Not a hater, but it is relatively easy to get along with them. I have white friends and Indian friends and love embracing their different cultures. ❤ Each to his own though. I always say…everyone has the right to live life the way that they choose to.

My suggestion as a fellow American Indian, you can join local Indian groups in your area, if you want. I do understand though, as a mom of a toddler (my toddler is six months younger than your darling boy), that it is difficult to find time to socialize….but it is important to take out some time during the week and do things with friends without our kids. I find that really helps my mental health because raising toddlers is a tough job.
