I love happy accidents! The daisies look so great on this portrait that I wouldn’t have guessed it was a mistake! I’d LOVE to see you do an eagle catching a fish! I love eagles & can’t wait til winter when I’ll go get to see them fishing in Iowa again! Thanks Lauren!
Thank you again Lauren Elizabeth. This beautiful lab is perfect in his coat of blues. I paint pet portraits and memorials on river stones and most times it’s a baby who has passed. There’s no chance of getting a decent pic to work from and I struggle with color values, so watching you and learning color techniques in fur is what I’d like to see.
Thank you for this video. I am in the middle of painting my black and white pittie and was "stuck" trying to figure out how to paint her black areas. I will also be attempting a portrait of my parent's beloved black lab Otis who passed a year ago. You are a great teacher!
Thank you so much for saying that. Painting black animals isn't easy! I hope this helps you finish that fur. Best of luck on those two portraits. I'm also happy to help you if need be.
Thank you so much for this. I don't know if you remember but I actually requested this a couple of weeks ago and I really appreciate that you care about your fans . I will definitely try this painting and also I just wanted to say your painting is amazing
Loved this one! Thank you for breaking down the process with the blue colors. Love the flowers at the end, too!
Oh I can't resist adding a flower or two. It just felt right. You are most welcome Linda!
Bellissimo!!! Grazie grazie mille per i regali che ci fai con le tue meravigliose creazioni! ❤😊
Thank you!!

Thank you Elaine. Thanks for your feedback! What a great thing you're doing despite the lack of good quality references.
Great job ! I love how you saved it! God bless.
Thanks Donna. I am too haha!
