Thanks for your comment, however from my knowledge quantity surveyors are used to estimate construction costs and thus depreciation on properties. I am doubtful that they also do depreciation on cars, it is likely you're accountant can help you with that.
No offence but that's not even close to what we do full time. Have a look at the RIBA plan of works, then lists for JCT contracts, Gantt charts, schedules, estimates, scopes of works, monitoring costs, final accounts, VAT, discounts, wholesale valuations and a lot more including recovering of over payments for clients that have been ripped off. We do a lot more than this video gives us credit for but thanks for highlighting our role. On Property QS do a lot more than you think. I disappoint that you specific on depreciation but makes the topic sound general.
I am a quantity surveyor, we are accountants for construction work. For cars and such just use accountants
