This was such a good laugh, thank you! I did competitive dancing for years and I can slick a bun down like there’s no tomorrow, but I’m going to a fancy social dance event this weekend and was looking for less severe ideas that weren’t ponytail whips. Now I remember why nice-looking social hair is so difficult 😂

I'm a zouk lover and just yesterday a woman blinded me with a braided ponytail. She was black and had long hair so you can guess how thick and heavy it was🙈

May I suggest a low side braid? Never had any issues with it hitting my partner, getting tangled in their clothing, or it getting messed up! And still looks good once you get sweaty, unlike the half-up, half-down styles.
