SOLIDWORKS: Adding Features to Flat Sheet Metal

how is this done for a rolled sheet metal part? unfold doesnt work in that case.

I just solved this one: Add a bit of straight sheet metal on the ends (at least one end) so that you get a small straight face to choose as fixed face. That way the command works. You can make the feature so marginally small that it can remain in the model, or you can remove it by the end of your feature tree.
