Thank you sir. I have a zd331 displaying the same problems you were having. Very educating video to make my exploratory inspection much easier tomorrow. Thanks!
Just discovered your video. Thanks! I have had exactly the same problem for years on my ZD221 (won't start, won't turn off, goes dead whenever leaving the seat with engine on, all intermittently). Started happening about a year or so after I got the new mower in 2015. Dealer replaced the brake safety switch twice but it kept happening, so I gave up and just 'hot-wired' across the starter whenever it would not start; pushed the engine solenoid (?) switch whenever it would not stop, and lived with it shutting off when I did not want it to. Got tired of doing that so took it to another dealer a couple of months ago. He said the problem was the starter; I told him that it was hard for me to believe that but since he was the "expert" gave him to go-ahead to put in a new starter (for $400+). Worked great for 2-3 times; but just yesterday started happening again. So now I'm pretty upset. Dealer closed today (Sat), but I'm sure when I call on Monday, he'll say "bring it in, we'll take a look..."; but regardless I doubt if he'll refund what I paid for replacing the starter. Still don't know, of course, if replacing the brake safety switch will work for my situation since replacing it did not help.
Bill, consider this---first look at the beginning of my vid, just to the right and a little below the starter you will see an aftermarket "starter relay switch" that I added. Sometimes those safety switches will fail just to the point that they will not supply enough volts to the starter solenoid so it can engage the starter. It was such a problem with John Deere's that they got so tired of all the warranty claims that they came out with a switch to ensure the correct voltage was being supplied. Mine is not a Deere switch but even a better quality one. When I first got my used BX sometimes it would click once but not crank. I got so tired of trying to chase down the cause then one day came across an article about this and I added the "starter relay switch" and have NOT had the issue again in over 500 hours of use. So, when I got the Kubota mower I immediately installed the same switch on it. Just do an internet search for "starter relay switch" and read up on it. Good luck on your journey---let us know how it works out. Thanks for watching and commenting!!! 😉🦾
I believe that is Kubota's own engine not a different brand. All the Kubotas I have owned have had true Kubota engines---both diesel and gas and have never had a failure. But I am unfamiliar with that particular model. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
YES IT IS I ONLY BRING UP THERE OWN ENGINE BECAUSE SOME DEALERS WILL NOT WORK ON THE KUBOTA ENGINE IF IT HAS A KAWASAKI ENGINE ETC... NOT SURE IF THAT JUST CAME INTO PLAY THE LAST COUPLE YEARS? BUT ITS NOW A LOOP HOLE FOR THEM. BUT IL KEEP DOING MY RESEARCH AND GLAD THEY HAVE BEEN RUNNING STRONG FOR YOU.. HOPE TO HAVE ONE SOON @@JSProjectWild
I could but this video is not getting much interest. Not many views and yours is the first comment. Still might do a review though. Thanks for watching!
Thanks I started working at golf course the last guy look to be a meth canic n trust me it’s all half assed ! They start both with a wire to jump starter!
The intermittent safety switch failures are the ones I hate. So hard to diagnose something that only fails part of the time. The mower has run flawlessly since I replace that simple $11 switch. Thanks for watching and commenting Walden!!! 👍

Im looking at a ZG 327 with 500 hours that has the Kabota KGZ 770? Have you heard anything about this gas kubota model engine good or bad?

Any chance of a full overview or review of this machine , there is no content around on the zg332 I’m very interested in purchasing this model

Thanks I appreciate this video
Thanks much and I appreciate you watching!
You might need a left awitch if incurs out turning left it should be on the base of your left steering arm
Checked both stick switches and they both test good. Thanks!
My zG23 do not wan to start easy after is been used couple times, please tell me what is the problem
Wish I could help but have no idea. Thanks for watching.
Sounds like a safety switch that is sticking some times
Try keeping it clean because a dirty switch will cause trouble
For $11 just replaced it. Can't keep that failed switch clean where it's located right above the deck. Thanks for watching.
Buy only the OEM parts because the cheaper switches are dam junk, I tried them and they all came back in a month or less
Yep, always OEM for me with anything electrical.
Thanks I started working at golf course the last guy look to be a meth canic n trust me it’s all half assed ! They start both with a wire to jump starter!
