I think the only legend that doesn't have the technology to respawn (she doesn't get bracelet thing that's shown in the first trailer of Apex) is Mad Maggie because her joining is literally a death sentence and we never see her die in trailers. Respawn (the company) know what they're doing. I can't wait for the Netflix show to come out and explain this crap.
I think it’s because ballistic doesn’t want his son to make the same mistake he did when he was competing, thinking about yourself and only cares for the glory and that’s what ended up having ballistic’s friend dying and having his wife and son abandon him and living a sheltered life of nothing but sorrow and loss. It’s possible technically - ballistic was like 46 in (2718) I’m guessing kit was also around that age so ya MAYBE 🤔
