A vocal coach reviewing their work stated that Halle sings from her stomach and Chloe sings from her throat, thus producing different sounds. That is why when you hear Chloe sing you can hear the breaths, which you don't hear with Hallie. That both girls vocals are in keeping with their speaking voices. Chloe speaking tone is lower, while Hallie has a lighter very girly tone, thus allowing her to give a more lighter airy vocal when required.
I can here to same the same thing! I prefer terms “lighter” and fuller than thinner and thicker. Halle usually sings in head voice, we’re going to hear a lot of it doing musical theatre numbers for a little Mermaid but she was definitely using chest voice in this performance.

Halle strength is upper register while chloe is the opposite. Thicker tone with a thinner tone. In terms of agility they're quite equal but chloe tends to explore more in that area not to say halle couldnt do it she could if she decided to work on that part of her voice. Both these girls would have a vocal coach esp being on beyonces payroll she doesnt play with her money

She did it a lot more when she was younger on the youtube videos but since this album stayed mostly in the high register with a more operatic jazz feel, this is more high R&B early Halle. She has always had the vocal range going from indie, pop, R&B, opera and jazz, but I felt she mostly kept to the operatic jazz vocals, therefore, glad she bringing back some of the other vocals. But her voice is still unique as always because of all these different influences.
Halle has the widest range out of her sister, yes Chloe can belt high but Halle’s vocal is just a different level. I would say Chloe is more musically inclined out of the two tho.

I loved this little attitude from Halle. She is usually sweet, but this was so good. Her eye contact with camera and micro facial expressions, settle diss. Loved every second of it. I also feel like they let each one shine with every performance. Like last Do It was more Chloe, but Busy Boy featured more Halle. They are top notch.

I was ready to wake up to your reaction! I had time the other day and rewatched a lot of the girls old performances - I FORGOT HOW MUCH RANGE THEY BOTH HAVE. THEY BEEN SERVING GOOD AT ALL TIMES. Halle can definitely reach a lower register, I remember most in "sisters are doing it for themselves" where she sounds stronger and lays lower overall. Chole tends to go higher with her runs and I remember when they perform "Down" she was all over the place [in a good way]. Halle is better controlling her voice but I think Chole has more artistic talent. I love how they balance each other out. Also why are they beautiful 24/7, God just gave them everything.
Go watch their RUclips videos before Beyoncé signed them , they were like 11 and 13 even then Halle mostly sung in a lower register and more chest voice at the age of 11 so the range has always been there
