He used to work for Nippon Express Air Cargo during his last couple years at university. It was a tedious first job, but it allowed us to buy a home right after we finished college.

Struck me as weird as well, AC doesn't regularly schedule 767's across the Pacific anymore. Could be a maintenance/refurbishment and/or chartered flight

It's an United Micronesia, they fly between the pacific ocean islands like Hawaii, Guam, Pago Pago, and a few more.
Guam is part of the United States
Guam is a territory and yes, united micronesia flies to the Philippines, Japan, and etc.
