Diarrhea is unformed or loose stools, usually occurring in larger amounts and/or more often. Diarrhea is not a disease but rather a sign of many different diseases. Diarrhea associated with minor conditions can often be resolved quickly with simple treatments. Diarrhea is the result of faster movement of fecal material through the intestine, combined with decreased absorption of water, nutrients, and electrolytes. If the main sign of illness in your dog is diarrhea, a relatively simple problem such as an intestinal infection from bacteria, viruses, coccidia, or intestinal worms may be the cause. In dogs, dietary indiscretion (eating garbage or other offensive or irritating materials), or a change in diet is a common cause of acute (sudden) diarrhea. Stress, especially following travel, boarding, or other changes in environment, can also cause acute diarrhea.
However, diarrhea can also be a sign of a more serious underlying disorder such as allergies, bacterial or viral infections, inflammatory intestinal disease, organ dysfunction, or other systemic illness. (source: VCA Hospitals)

Thanks for a great video, easy to follow and understand. Ou dog is a mixed breed of Staffy/Boxer. He usually has his diarrhea around every two months for one night only and only one time. He is extremely active and does not show any signs of illness. He is spoilt and much loved, walked every day and fed at the same time each day. He is approx 14 years old, should we be worried about him?

My Dachshund has Pancreatitis. I took him to the vet and the vet said he looks good he can go home and i said no i know something is wrong can you do scans and also blood tests and that is how i found out he had that. Then when he was in hospital the drip slipped they said and 300ml of fluids went into him and the poor bugger. The vet could not get him to eat and i tried to explain to them that he is a service dog and he will not eat for others and they did not have a clue and they said no i was wrong but 12 hours after been saying that she let him home and i got him to eat straight away. I have him on chicken breasts and all the good veggies now as i looked everything up and 2 weeks later he has been going really well. I have asked several vets how much should a 10kg dachshund eat at all and none have never known. It is so confusing. He has lost 1kg and looking really good now. If you know how much he should be eating that would be awesome please as i have been giving him 150gs a night in chicken and veggies. Love your videos. Thank you.

Why would a new bag of the same dog food cause this? It seems to be the case with one of my 3 dogs, but the others are ok with it. Thank you!
There's a problem with that particular bag whether there's it was mishandled or there's something in it in comparison to the other ones but that's how a new bag would cause it

No problem ... use canned Pumpkin .... sugar free is always best but it doesn't have to be. Pet shops sell it but it's cheaper to buy in a grocery store. How big are your dogs?i

I was just curious how you were going to end the sentence, throw away the bag of food or switch brands or ?? I wish I knew what he was going to say to do with a possible bad bag of dog food. I think he was about to say it before the dog interrupted
