I’ve got a friend who reacts very similar to nezu here. Don’t worry, she’s getting help but she has ptsd and whenever someone touches her she freaks out or has a panic attack. She’s getting better but I couldn’t help but think of her while watching
I know it's a headcanon, but I actually think it makes a lot of sense for Nezu to have some trauma like that, afterall he WAS a labrat before he became the Principal of UA, it's even implied that he has a bit of anger towards humanity that he often has to hold back
The fucking inner strength to hold off your trauma long enough to not worry a child who sought comfort is heroic in itself. Honestly, seeing Principal Nezu hold it off but still go through it after rounding the corner felt so real to me. You can resist it for a while, but the emotions don't fo away just because they're inconvenient. All Might is a real one for how he helped Nezu: not just comforting, but comforting in a way that respects Nezu's dignity.

I assumed that Nezu was a mouse who after alot of testing resulted in him develop his quirk High Specs. I'm just glad he used his quirk to join society and rise above the humans who traumatised him. He's the principle of the greatest school for heroes, i dont think you can have a position higher than that in terms of visual justice and nobility. I cant fault him for toying with his students during the exam. He has every experience and skill to do it and i think it's a nice therapeutic action.

this is a wonderful and powerful comic to show trauma. trauma isn't something you or any other character can just 'get over'. it's not a mountain they must climb in order to get over and get better. trauma is carried with us, for the rest of our lives. Eri and Nezu have scars from their traumas, both the ones we can see...and the ones they carry in their hearts and minds. they aren't 'okay'...and that's okay.
I love this, he has trouble with touching, unless it's someone he trusts and he is the one doing the touching. Him riding on all mights back is a good indicator of slowly working through it as well

If not, the traumatized person might feel attacked or claustrophobic/cleithrophobic. (Claustro= the fear of small spaces/being stuck in small spaces.) Holy crap, this comic is amazing. Even the voices in nezu’s trama are all scientists talking about holding and observing him, taking blood samples, etc. no wonder he doesnt like to be touched.
This is such a beautiful story (the thing is I have friends who have trauma to the same degree of Nezu and I’m the one they come to for help mainly because I love to listen to them and it helps them to talk about it so this story speaks to me deeply)

I think it's nice how All Might was Concern for Nezu, and how he deals with trauma. All Might completely understand what's that like, from when he lost his master and his fear of all for one, but overcame it all to become the hero he is today and I love how Nezu helps Eri to know she's not only and he understand how she feels when it comes to trauma. It's shows their kind hearted character
It started out cute, and then it got dark (not that that's a bad thing. I just didn't expect it to get so REAL in its depiction of trauma. I'm not personally a victim of severe trauma, but I know some people who are, and from what I've seen this is pretty accurate. Even innocent gestures can be triggering, and I have to give Nezu credit for not making Eri feel like she'd done something wrong). And then it got cute again. This was extremely well done.
The first thing you’d think of is that he physically touches people all the time - like when he’s climbing peoples backs. Then, for those who know the struggle, you realize that it doesn’t work that way. Trauma is stupidly complicated. It’s like misophonia, where some noises are fine, while others cause physical anger.

Based on his panic I do think he has PTSD but I don’t know about Vietnam level (Though it was a stronger intrusive thought to some peoples complex PTSD I don’t think he’s been in any wars)
I feel like people haven’t payed most attention to nezu lately and this is nice to see a video of someone actually making something that could be happening to him
As someone with trauma myself, I can tell what he’s going threw and what he has spoken about, he was right about some days being worse than others. Sometimes a lot of memories come back at a specific moment in time for no reason and it just makes the mental state worse than it already was, it can bring someone down and make them feel so not motivated to do anything, makes them feel uncomfortable or even sick, and just sad. Everyone is different though so this doesn’t go for everyone, what I said is based off of my own experiences. 😊
I know its probably nothing but the fact he climbed onto all might would possibly show that he's comfortable enough with all might, because that's still physical touch. It's just a nice thought 😊

I would just like to say Nezu is such an under rated character. And this comic just fuels my reasoning for liking him. Not only did he comfort Eri but he was understanding when she hugged him. He didn’t yell at her or push her off, he stayed calm and collected and understanding of why she hugged him. Not to mention how he held in his panic long enough to get out of sight so he didn’t freak Eri out and make her feel worse. That takes a lot of guts and self control, especially with such severe trauma. And I can imagine him actually acting like this if it were to actually happen. This is done really well, it’s a really good display of how people handle trauma too.
The reason why Nezu isn’t the bottom of the food chain is because he’s surrounded by superheroes and not by ancient grandmas, cats and -11 year old children.
The fact that even though being touched, let alone being hugged, is traumatising for Principal Nezu, yet he kept a smile when Eri hugged him was sweet but also sad.
Remembering that scientists once studied him reminds me of a certain Gaurdians of the Galaxy quote: “I didn’t ask to be taken apart and put back together and taken apart and put back together, over and over!”
Sweet baby eri you don't have to do that just giving them to me give me a frying pan they'll be done within 2 seconds over and over again just so they can suffer 😈 (No one touches the beans)

Holy crap, this comic is amazing. Even the voices in nezu’s trama are all scientists talking about holding and observing him, taking blood samples, etc. no wonder he doesnt like to be touched.
This is such a beautiful story (the thing is I have friends who have trauma to the same degree of Nezu and I’m the one they come to for help mainly because I love to listen to them and it helps them to talk about it so this story speaks to me deeply)

I think it's nice how All Might was Concern for Nezu, and how he deals with trauma. All Might completely understand what's that like, from when he lost his master and his fear of all for one, but overcame it all to become the hero he is today and I love how Nezu helps Eri to know she's not only and he understand how she feels when it comes to trauma. It's shows their kind hearted character

It started out cute, and then it got dark (not that that's a bad thing. I just didn't expect it to get so REAL in its depiction of trauma. I'm not personally a victim of severe trauma, but I know some people who are, and from what I've seen this is pretty accurate. Even innocent gestures can be triggering, and I have to give Nezu credit for not making Eri feel like she'd done something wrong). And then it got cute again. This was extremely well done.

When I first saw the thumbnail I thought this would be a joke comic, but I’m glad how it turned out
The first thing you’d think of is that he physically touches people all the time - like when he’s climbing peoples backs.
Then, for those who know the struggle, you realize that it doesn’t work that way. Trauma is stupidly complicated. It’s like misophonia, where some noises are fine, while others cause physical anger.

As someone with trauma myself, I can tell what he’s going threw and what he has spoken about, he was right about some days being worse than others. Sometimes a lot of memories come back at a specific moment in time for no reason and it just makes the mental state worse than it already was, it can bring someone down and make them feel so not motivated to do anything, makes them feel uncomfortable or even sick, and just sad. Everyone is different though so this doesn’t go for everyone, what I said is based off of my own experiences. 😊
I know its probably nothing but the fact he climbed onto all might would possibly show that he's comfortable enough with all might, because that's still physical touch. It's just a nice thought 😊

He doesn't like it if he doesn't see it coming, he didn't know that Eri would hug him and he panicked
I would just like to say Nezu is such an under rated character. And this comic just fuels my reasoning for liking him. Not only did he comfort Eri but he was understanding when she hugged him. He didn’t yell at her or push her off, he stayed calm and collected and understanding of why she hugged him. Not to mention how he held in his panic long enough to get out of sight so he didn’t freak Eri out and make her feel worse. That takes a lot of guts and self control, especially with such severe trauma. And I can imagine him actually acting like this if it were to actually happen.
This is done really well, it’s a really good display of how people handle trauma too.
The reason why Nezu isn’t the bottom of the food chain is because he’s surrounded by superheroes and not by ancient grandmas, cats and -11 year old children.

The fact that even though being touched, let alone being hugged, is traumatising for Principal Nezu, yet he kept a smile when Eri hugged him was sweet but also sad.
Nezu and me can relate, we have traumatic triggers to hugs.
