I love Elementor, I also started using it because it reduced the amount of plugins I needed to install, and I can build so much faster. I was lucky as an early adopter so I still pay $100 per year for 1000 licenses. I still find I need to be careful with all the extra “extensions” for it out there, it can still become bulky and slows down. The simplest Elementor website I built gets a 90 pagespeed score, so it’s absolutely possible to keep it lean.
Nice! Glad to see they’re still honoring that pricing. I wasn’t smart enough to get in early like you 🤣 I still think it’s well worth the price though!
@@Craylor Just curious if you're familiar with using flexbox in CSS? I had fallen a bit behind for a few years because Elementor was using blocks with columns... and then all of sudden introduced flexbox layouts. I learned CSS in 2006 and I admit I fell a bit behind, so I had to go re-learn CSS to get the hang of Elementor's new layout system!
@@estycki I built some layouts on my sites with flexboxes, but I’m still trying to get the hang of it myself. I’m so used to the “columns” layout method that page builders have.
Can I use Elementor while using Salient theme or is WPBakery better for Salient theme specifically? I'm currently watching your Salient theme series and wanted to know what is the best option. Thanks!
You’d want to stick with WPBakery for using Salient. Hello Elementor is a free theme you can use with Elementor if you want to experiment with it, but Salient is still great too.
I switched to elementor from gutenberg, and it was easier to make complex stuff with animations and specific styles(note: I also used elementor plugins)
