At least the 4v Cobra 4.6, I don't know much about the 2v 4.6 engines.

this was almost 20 years ago...215 hp horsepower wasn't that bad back then. it also has 285 lbs ft of torgue at only 3400 rpms...have you ever driven an older stock 5.0? they feel much faster than other cars with smaller engines with similar horsepower and in a lot of cases they are.
You're comparing an engine relatively unchanged from 1987 to your 2005 engine. The same reasons why your V6 make 270 and the newer 5.0 V8 make up to 444 horsepower compared to this dinosaur is better engine management, higher compression, and most importantly: variable valve timing (certainly some more reasons but those are the main ones). These older pushrod engines had fixed timing. Two valves per cylinder can be overcome, but 3 and 4 certainly help potential. Still a great, classic engine!
I have a rio red convertible GT like this.I have bolt on mods with flow masters and 373 gears. It really gets going fast!!You blink one time and it's going 80+.Plus it's just a great head turner.I like the looks of the 1994 convertible better than the fox body style. It was just different!!Everyone seems to have or had a fox??
5rc it's because it's a pushrod v8 with gobs of torque being choked down by inefficient emission restrictions, and in 1995 ford wasn't really making the most high performance OEM parts. They do have plenty of potential however and are probably the same size as your V6
@@StevenNeidlein It is indeed a 4.9. Ford rounded up the displacement to 5.0 on these motors so that it was not confused with the 4.9 Liter 300 ci. staright six.
@FEVER55555 If you listen closely, when he is close to the rear of the car filming, you can hear a whining sound that syncs with the hazards going on and off. This happens on 1998 and older SN-95 Mustangs when they reach about 100k miles. So either this car has been driven VERY hard over its lifetime or someone reset the odometer.

the camaro also has a 350 cubic inch motor so of course it's going to have more horsepower. or at least it should. it's almost a full liter larger displacement. these mustangs are actually 4.9 liters the 5.0 is just to make it sound better. also..I think the 215 hp was underrated this is basically exactly the same thign that was in foxes and they were 225 hp. i've seen bone stock ones lay down 195 rwhp with a 5 speed which is easily 225 hp or more before drivetrain loss
@Jon3800 Yes... but engines are getting better and better... Did you know that cars in 1930/40 needed a 4.8 V6 to produce 40 HP. Now my Yaris has 1.0 3 cylindre having 69HP (and cars are lighter too).
