i really wish they had a special event for ia, gumi, n flower they’re just so iconic in like every recently released song
Sadly that will probably never happen due to licensing issues, however there’s some people who will make version of the covers but with the original Vocaloid I haven’t listened to them myself so idk how good they are quality wise but if you wanna hear what that could sound like you could always look for those

Something I hate about like the sekai covers is its kind of hard to hear the vocaloids. Like I know that may be the point but I still want to here them plus the actual singers not just the character's voices.

I think what bothers me is that they used to have the worst tuning ever for each pjsk virtual singer cover. It's gotten better, but it felt like they but literally zero effort into tuning them properly.
and then sometimes the vocaloids dont mix well with the human voices
I don't know how to feel seeing Ci Flower being referred to as Flower, considering how different Ci actually sounds compared to Vflower, which is the one used in those songs.
I accept that some corporate suits think Ciflower is more marketable than Vflower, but the possibility of Ci flower being the definitive version of Flower from now on is scary to me.
I like CI flower because of the intentional gender ambiguity, so I wish they would include the difference in the title. However, it's similar to different versions of other virtual singers (whisper for example) so it's understandable.

Edit: When I first made this comment I didn’t use my words properly nor did I properly get the point across so lemme just say it: It is literally the Miku game. Miku is like all the marketing of project sekai. Without Miku project sekai would not have half of the popularity it has now. So for them to use Miku for covers of songs makes sense. It’s good for marketing. For example: The reason I and many others downloaded project sekai was because we saw Miku. Like it’s Hatsune Miku. The creator of Minecraft. It’s kind of obvious that if they don’t wanna use the vocaloid that the song originally goes with, they’re gonna go with Miku. She is the mascot for vocaloid. When people think vocaloid, they think Miku. (I say this was someone who does not have Miku as their favourite Vocaloid or character in Pjsk. But I am somebody with a bias towards her.)

1. The vocaloids are just as important as the characters, so saying ‘we’re here for the original characters, not the vocaloids’ makes no sense. If you want mainly original characters play a different game. 2nd. The reason Meiko doesn’t have a lot of songs is because she’s not as popular + no one can tune her properly for some god forsaken reason + her voice usually only fits with a certain theme of song. So if they have a choice between Miku and Meiko, the answer is obvious which they’re gonna make. (No shade towards Meiko I LOVE HER. It’s just that her tuning in proseka is usually bad.) 3rd, PLEASE STOP HATING ON MIKU IN THE REPLIES. SEEING PEOPLE HATE ON HER MAKES ME SO SAD IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY I LOVE HATSUNE MIKU SO MUCH SHE HAS MADE MY LIFE 100X BETTER PLEASE STOP SLANDERING HER.

Yes but that one doesn’t have a Virtual Singer in the Sekai Version. That’s why I also didn’t include Night Sky Patrol of Tomorrow, Happy Synthesizer, Fragile, Odo, Aun no Beats, KING, fixer, Charles, Bocca Della Verita, Venom, Villain, and Usseewa. But thanks for keeping me on my toes! Sometimes I do miss stuff so I’m glad when people try to help me!

But when people say that pjsekai version *ALWAYS* ruin original version, i kinda feel sad for some reason.
(Yes there are indeed some pjsekai covers i hate like staracco patchwork, BRING IT ON, Bitter Choco decoration, etc. But like there are songs that are ACTUALLY BETTER COVERED)

I have such an unnatural hatred for sekai ROKI, not only because it's *another* ichimiku duet, but because *every single time* it's referred to in the story, they call it a "miku song".
It took years for the community to stop reffering to songs as "miku songs" or "gumi songs" and instead actually credit the producer. It really gets under my skin the same way to see proseka fans say this is a wxs song or a mmj song, and seeing songs referred to in game the same way made my blood boil.

I’ve seen many people complaining about miku getting too many songs but keep in mind that at the start every group had only miku + another vocaloid(except vbs [2 more] and niigo [only miku]) so a lot of early covers have miku in it for that reason. Also the fact that most Leo/need covers are sung alongside miku is because of the bond between her and Ichika and how Miku basically changed her life. Plus, sekai has A LOT more diversity vocaloid wise compared to diva

I totally agree, I think Miku sounds great but only on the songs she’s suited for, if they changed it up more often I think I would appreciate Miku’s vocals more because right now Miku just sounds like a default voice rather than having her own flavor.

@@madechiato pretty sure the story for them in street sekai was that they already existed there, but they were just wandering around away from where the story had been at the time, whereas len hadn't manifested into school sekai yet

I feel like the reason that the project sekai versions don’t sound as good as the original, is because of the tuning. Idk the vocaloids tuning just sounds stuffy. Especially for miku. Though Miku’s NT voice bank is bad in quality. With the right amount of skill it can sound pretty good. But I don’t think the people that tuned the vocaloids had enough experience with using miku. Luka and Len’s tuning sounds the best (in my opinion). Idk the singers names but they did a great job covering most of the songs. It’s just the vocaloids tuning I have a problem with.

I feel like they put little to no effort in making them fit in with the human singers 😭.

why do yamaha/ other companies make better vocaloids than the piapro ones lol. Gumi, vflower, and IA are better than quote a few of the cryptonloids in my opinion.

The others could easily focus on their main product as they are usually just one or two meanwhile Piapro has like 6 or something. And had to deal with people constantly saying Miku is overrated and not to invest just on her without realizing her voice compare to the other vocaloids is a bit outdated.

Little detail i noticed and i really like is how in the original version for miku, there is one of her desings that isnt in project sekai and when miku is in the sekai cover, it shows her project sekai desing (this goes to every vocaloid in the game)

Some covers are better, the originals will be nostalgic or people will be more used to them and change gets weird, sometimes yeah Miku is the default a bit too much and it gets annoying, HOWEVER please remember that the version you prefer will always be available (either in game o n, youtube, niconico, or wherever) and people having different preferences in songs is perfectly normal. You can be upset, you can get annoyed, but please for the love of Miku herself be respectful
(Sorry for the tirade, I've had one too many arguments about "which version is better" that got heated and nasty for literally no reason)
The only problem I tend to have with having vocaloids, and especially Miku, having their own cover versions in the game is just… that someone’s probably done it already??? Looking through the comments of this video and some other proseka vids, it seems I’m in the minority when I say I prefer the character covers over hearing the original or any of the vocaloid covers you can get in the in-game shop. Mostly because I’ve heard some of the originals so often. I like to hear variation and let’s not lie and say some of the voice tuning didn’t age roughly.
Additionally, yeah it’s a Miku game. The whole point is Miku. It starts with Miku and ends with Miku. But I wish they’d stop acting like Miku is the original singer/creator for like… every song >_>

Maybe because Len has a greater focus on partnership than Kaito does since he’s always paired with Rin (and indeed, Rin also exists in the Sekai from its creation, she just doesn’t appear in the launch stories), and partnership is a huge thing for VBS? Meanwhile Kaito (and Meiko by extension as his counterpart) is headcanoned to be the oldest out of all of the Vocaloids (since they have no canon ages) thereby being a perfect fit as the “troupe leader”, and at launch it wasn’t immediately clear if the all-female Proseka groups would get the male Vocaloids. I think it’s kind of stupid that Wondershow doesn’t have many/any covers with Kaito, but that’s not the topic at hand.

It's not thatI hate Miku having literally all the songs, I hate how Miku (or any Virtual Singer) is tuned in the earlier and even some newer songs, they just don't.. fit. Some songs are literally unplayable for me due to this, at least Len and Luka sounds good 70% of the time. KAITO sounds awful in general.

Actually, the Miku versions in game are by eve. He has usually a Vocaloid Version for his releases. (Just a little tidbit of knowledge of for you)

I think when the Sekai versio plays, it should have actually been the Virtual Singer version since that's who they're saying sings the song, and not the Sekai covers with multiple Project Sekai characters singing.
Most songs don't have solo vocaloid covers
the ingame vs versions for many of these songs actually do use the original singer listed and a different vocaloid is simply used for the sekai cover, usually because non-cryptonloids cannot be used for sekai covers

If non-Crypton vocaloid can have some cameos in some events, I want to see IA in Leoneed, GUMI in MMJ, Kafu in VBS, Otomachi Una or Yuzuki Yukari in WxS, and flower in N25. Just make them do in-game dialogue, no need for official commission song with them. That would never happen though lol but I think each unit has resemblance with those other vocaloids.

Why everyone so pressed over Miku being treated how a mascot/mc should be treated? What else did they expect, really? Even Rin & Len fans are pressed like,, at least your fav character isn’t a non-featured vocaloid or put aside one like mines and many people’s 💀💀 (my favs are Mikoto n’ KAITO)

The more I look at this, the more I wish SEGA and Craft Egg got permission to use a lot of the vocal synths that sang the original songs here, like GUMI, IA, KAFU, flower, Kaai Yuki, and Yuuma as part of the virtual singers group to add some diversity. I feel it would make the game more interesting and increase the player base. TL;DR: LET OTHER VOCALS SYNTHS INTERACT WITH THE CRYPTON LOIDS AND SEKAI UNITS!!!!

I think it's kinda funny that they are replacing IA with usually Len(or Miku, she's everywhere), Kafu with Miku or Meiko and Flower with Rin (maybe Len too) or more recently Meiko, and they try to make her sound like Flower like that's so funny...
Sometimes I like the Sekai ver, sometimes not. Buriki no Dance Wxs version is good ! Same for Nonsense Bungaku. Odore Orchestra sung by WxS is just perfect for them. I love a lot Daybreak Frontline VBS version too !
Sometimes I wish they added GUMI instead of Luka but at the same time I’m glad they put Luka in instead

tbh a lot of the covers really suck in proseka. in the early covers, it’s extremely difficult to enjoy because of the awful mastering, *especially* with the mastering of the vocaloid’s vocals mixed with the humans. Additionally, i find many of the singers to not match the style/ not suited for the song and being outmatched by the other members. for example, honami, tsukasa, nene, saki, toya, kanade, mafuyu, and all of the vocaloids being outmatched by the humans vocals. at this point, as much as i hate to say it, i think they should completely remove vocaloids from the human covers, and take a bandori approach by having only one or two singers on each song

i’m gonna be honest there are some that i prefer the sekai version. of course, i still have respect for the originals. there are instances where i love both tho. like with “totemo itai itagaritai”. i love both the original and n25’s. for my explanation of when i prefer the sekai version is i’m going to use “buriki no dance” as an one of my examples that i wanna talk about. i love how the voice actors of tsukasa and rui as well as the usage of len’s voice fit the production, to me, and singing it in a lower key, than in the original production where miku is singing pretty high. it’s kind of hard to explain because i feel like i have specific opinions on certain parts of sekai and originals.
tbh im glad they used len for garando instead of miku because i hate hate hate her tuning in the original 😭‼️

honestly with pjsekai luka sounds so alien to me and that makes me sad.
I like some of the ones with like actual human voices but all of the only voca ones are pretty meh. The creator of the song’s tuning and vocaloid gives personality to the song and without it it feels kinda dull…

As a Miku fan, I can confirm that Miku gets too much spotlight. But that's part of the game! Hatsune Miku gets more spotlight because the game is featuring Hatsune Miku. But I still agree for all of you.
