Most likely that guy on my friends list was saving that fourth spot for someone else, but I could still sympathize with Putz at that moment.

Service desks record all calls I can almost guarantee that call got passed to the guy's superiors but not to ban the guy he was mad at, they record you when you're on hold too so they 100% heard his tirades there too
he views ranked modes in such a surface level way, always grabbing the rainmaker the moment he can without even caring whether or not his teammates are even ready to support you into carrying it farther, then blames them because he was too focused on grabbing it than supporting them in being able to not die. he never gets a booyah bomb in, which is basically the only reason youd ever wanna run aerospray in this mode in the first place.

He is basically falling over the same rock over and over and screaming at his teammates over stuff out of their control or could have been easily communicated with.

On the reporting limit, I have hit it a couple times myself but it's not exactly an everyday occurrence like Putz here. I think the problem is that it is locked to an amount of time, if someone plays from dawn to dusk it is much easier to hit the limit than a 30 minute sesh. Still not a big deal, there isn't usually a reason to report more than a couple people if that.
Something that I wish he would learn, but he most likely won't is that if he's getting mad his plays become sloppy. I learned that the hard way in Splatoon 1, and now in Splatoon 3 I'm staying more calm and collected and managing to pull off victories that didn't seem possible to me.
