Thanks for being so open about a topic that is difficult for some people, especially women. I totally agree about these benefits. As I said in our last live chat…..there IS sex after Parkinson’s! 😊

Many years ago I consulted a psychologist about some problems associated with my Parkinson's Disease. He also requested to see my daughter to get a separate viewpoint on my condition. My dear daughter, during the interview, suggested that I really just needed to get laid. The psychologist said I should listen to my daughter's options as she could have a better understanding of all the issues. Of course I did not pay attention and now try to forget the whole thing.
Sex and Parkinson's is a difficult issue to discuss for a male. The female viewpoint I do not understand.

Tomorrow I go for my first Nuclear DAT Scan. If anyone has done that, please let me know if I will be OK to drive myself home, or if it made you too sick to drive? I have never had something with so much radiation that I have to take a pill 2 hours prior to prevent the radiation burning up my thyroid. That kinda freaks me out.
Also, if I've been doing yard work and have been really active my shaking gets WAY worse. Does this happen to you too?
    Thank you,
    Don

Hi Don! I would hope they would tell you it would be unsafe for you to drive home before the test and to make arrangements for someone to be there with you. I would hope that it would be law if it was unsafe for you to drive and that it must be disclosed if so. To your second question yes, it is very common for many people with Parkinson's to feel extra shaky or more symptomatic after doing some kinds of physical activity. But we are different and you should talk with your doctor about it. I hope you feel fine after your test and all goes well for you! ♥

@donallen1357 Don I've had that test and to be on the safe side, I had my wife accompany me and drive. I was glad I did too.

Hi Andrew! I haven't deleted any of your comments. RUclips sends some comments to a reserved spot for my review but I haven't seen any of your comments there either.

The intensity of the session is what I believe contributes to the protective aspect in combination with the end result.
I recommend three in a row. Being a bloke, I need to be well hydrated and in an on state. For this. I find about an hour after my rasagiline and senimet I take my madopar and this helps.
They say physical exercise is important and what is better than this with a partner. Get a range of positions. This helps. Keep u flexible.
Experiment with it will keep u active in the longer run mobility wise.

Sorry, I can be honest to a fault, but I smiled reading your comment, and know what you mean! This is such a difficult topic, especially when there is a difference in libido or interest in sex. Which is why I think it’s so important to begin to have these conversations in our community and hopefully it will make it easier for us to talk with our spouse or partners about our needs. These realities are challenging enough…add Parkinson’s into the mix and personally I feel it adds an extra layer for the need of love and intimacy. If only I had a magic wand ❤️ (no pun intended 🙃)
