    Hello Dr. Leo. I enjoyed your video. Would you need to discard any of the initial distillate that contains any undesirable chemicals? I’ve heard there could be methanol or acetone at the beginning of the process. Thanks!

      Yes, it could. Those bad chemicals have lower boiling point and leave in earlier time.

    Thanks for sharing Sir, is this how non Alcoholic wine can be made?

    Great video, have you tried this in a vacuum system to reduce the heat needed to distill the alcohol off and preserve the non alcoholic wine?

    • @LeTimeLeo
      @LeTimeLeo  2 года назад

      Hi, yes, vacuum distillation aims to reducing the temperature so as to avoid temperature sensitive compounds going bad.

      @@LeTimeLeo Do you know a data source that would provide alcohol boiling points at various vacuum levels?

    What do you mean no sugar? The sugars dont get distilled and are left behind

  • @1amatters649
    @1amatters649 Год назад

    The reason why you didn't taste any sugars or alcohol in leftovers from the distillation. Is not only because of the fact you stripped the alcohol from the contents, but you turned that wine into concentrate juice. If you make Cuts during the distillation process it would have tasted better if you would have caught the middle of that process

      The process I'm talking about is a run. You should never really drink the first few off of the still because it could cause blindness if the alcohol is too strong also gives you that hangover people hate. If you can find the happy medium from the start to finish of distillation you will have what's called hearts. A tasty drink without the hangover and a fun time

    I don't see any copper to catch sulfites? Am I wrong?

    • @LeTimeLeo

      Copper beads can be placed in the steamer so all steam will go through copper which will be way more efficient than a copper wall or tubing. It is easier to regenerate copper by time also.
