My favourite singer. God bless her
I must say that I have seen thousands of interviews in life but this is the best... starting from the presenter .. such a matured and well prepared... total command over the subject and knowledge of artist and her songs. I must congratulate him on presenting such a great interview. Secondly, I have listened to so many songs of Naseebo Lal but never seen her... I thought she must be a proud person as her every song is a hit in Punjab, Jalandhar, Ludhyana, etc... but so pure, sweet and innocent person... that is why she has Bhagwan ki kirpa on her. My wife and family is a great fan of her and I wish she was an Indian artist so we could listen to her more often. Her respect for Noor Jahan and Hans Raj Hans and honesty is something we miss today in many singers. I pray for her that God bless her more and so we enjoy her songs. Today her songs are a must in every punjabi wedding in India and definitely must be in Pakistan too.
Naseebo lal is a very good singer and is very popular amongst punjabis, however she is b grade singer. When Noor Jehan was ill, during the mid 1990's, music directors were at a loss, as for Punjabi songs, deep voices suit it better than light voices. She was discovered by Tafoo who introduced her in 1999 with film Desan da Raja, song Bukul da vich chor & Pa Jaapia pa which became hits, she sang a lot of songs that were originally sang by other singers. Unfortunately as she is not educated, she didn't have a guru or mentor to guide her during her filmi career, she sang some cheap vulgar songs which I wish she hadn't bothered with, rather should have selected the film songs which would have enhanced her image. She is very famous in pakistan but there were other singers who are better, such as Afshan Abbass, but underrated.
