I really like this format. Really wish this was more popular where I live.
Love Nelson's personality, energy, wit, engagement, etc... HATE that kind of deck. It's Solitaire.
I don't mind that kind of deck, yeah sure it's a combo lock out, but my problem is Nelson doesn't quite know his deck yet, so it's a lot of "have I done this yet" which slows it down a lot.
It's very powerfully doing absolutely heck all until you draw a win con and your opponent explodes because of powerful synergies. That entertains some people, others less so.
I'm more of a Boros keyword soup guy myself. That or go wide. Swiftblade vindicator, hero of precinct one, goblin recruit, that sort of thing. Some would complain I play the dumbest/simplest form of magic just throwing creatures at my opponent til they drop.
To each their own. That's just how it be.
@@345tom even with a quick player it eats 70 percent of the matchtime easily, this was more like 90+ considering 20% of Cams turns were under mindslaver. It's mostly paradox engine as the huge issue in paper, especially if you actually check their math as they go. One of those faster on mtgo than paper things.
@@jon9828 No and I totally understand that. That's why I still watched the gameplay. I myself enjoy combos, but I also play Pauper, so the combos aren't really like THAT.
It's a good explanation why it's banned in commander. You shouldnt have to make 3 other people wait 20 minutes to watch you win.

Near the end of game 2 Cam v Nelson, did they forget about the woe strider in the bin? I think Cam could have escaped it, but he ended up drawing creatures anyway so it worked out.

1:50:36 Besides getting a variety of expansion symbols for that chaos draft flavor, one of the reasons they had to go for a lot of supplementary printings for Mystery Boosters is surely because those are the only places the cards have been printed with the M15 card frame.
Nelson's deck reminded me of why I wasn't sad to see Paradox Engine gone in EDH.

Question for Nelson. When you had Paradox Engine and Mystic Forge in play did you choose to Tinker for something other than Top for entertainment value or did you just not realize that Top allows you to generate an obscene amount of mana and draw your deck?
I thought round 2 was pretty one sided, then round 3 happened.

To be fair he named his deck the Cleveland Browns. That is not a name one invokes without asking to suffer horribly 🤷♂️. Either he knows this previously or is begginning to understand.
If he wants to win it's easy enough to change the name to the Baltimore Ravens, it's worked 100% of the time historically.

Reminded me of the Friday Nights skit where Alex found the luck sack. That mardu list is hot and seemed very well positioned when half the field is on 1 to 2 toughness creature synergy decks.
You guys shoulda done a game 3 and had Alex skip the first 2 turns to make it fair but commander rules also seemed fairish.

Game 2 vs cameron was sure some super powerful nothing. Saheeli eating 5 damage at 7 but eating an attacker seems good but maybe just hindsight.

Why have people been commenting about engaging lately?
The youtube suggestion algorithm gives preferential treatment to videos that get not only views but also likes, shares, comments, etc. (collectively referred to as engagement with said video.) So LRR fans are trying to give the video a boost by leaving a comment even if they have nothing specific to say.

@@TwilitLugia artificial inflation would be if they created extra accounts and bots to do it. This is just people supporting their favorite creators in the ways the robots that run our lives now recognize and care about.
@@TwilitLugia it's also a jab at how artificial and weird RUclips is/has become (depending on who you ask). Its automated systems and numerous levels of "subscribed but not actually notified" and what have you necessitate content creators call their viewers to boost their ratings more aggressively to become and/or stay relevant.
