I've watched several of these commencement talks from schools around the country, seem to be many more of them available this year than ever before. This is one of the very best I've seen, worth watching.
Wonderful speech - so glad it's captured for those who missed it. A little backstory on those passes: The three students were chosen because of their contributions to the school -- it was meant to honor them. The first two passes were caught by Laura and Brendan. The third pass was intended for David, who was delayed in arriving front and center, so a woman stepped in to receive the pass instead. What happened off-camera from about 3:42-3:58 is: as the woman is going back to her seat, Peyton is laughing and saying, "Bring that ball back!" That's because David has arrived to receive his pass. When Peyton asks, "Is that Brendan?" a voice off-camera answers, "David". The reason Peyton then does a thumbs up and says, "Perfect!" is because off-camera, the woman passed the ball to David.
