  • Hey everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by my channel to check out today's healthy hair care chit-chat about 10 Signs That Your Is Unhealthy. The things mentioned are things that I've experienced and learned how to correct over time and with patience. I originally started my very first relaxed hair journey in 2008. I went natural in 2016 and returned to relaxing my hair in 2019, and with the experience I've had in the past, I was able to recover and transform my hair back to better health with the previous knowledge and hair journey experience.
Special thank you to Ana Luisa for making me their brand ambassador! I absolutely recommend checking out Ana Luisa ❤️

It be so hard to cut our hair especially when we finally start to see some growth. Still we all know when it’s time to let somethings go. I just did a cut and my styles are looking so much better. Thanks! Seeing all your hair transformations makes it easy when it be time to let it go. Because the goal should always be the health of our hair and not just the length of our hair. Ladies don’t be afraid of them scissors when it’s time! As long as you have a regimen you should be good.

It was easy to go natural, I big chop’d
but not as easy to go bck to chemicals.
I’m texlaxed, I prep my hair as yu wud a relaxer but I use a texturizer to throw in & immediately rinse out bc of the texture of my hair. I texturize to take out som of the bulk to my natural hair bc the natural hair game was a struggle. But my hair was way different b4 I went natural vs now when I texlaxed. I had to chop a lot of hair off too.
Great tips Ms. Lady, yu look beautiful as usual & I will mos def use these tips to keep up my texlaxed hair, thx! ❤️

I’m experiencing most of these! I’m natural but I only get it straightened twice a year and I thought it would keep my hair healthier but it is a mess on top of a sore scalp due to protective styles this year. I’ll start getting a trim maybe every 2-3 months.

I have cut like 2 inches off, textlaxed wear half wigs, headband wigs, and sometimes twists, and ive seen my hair retain more length. It is a full time job pre pooing, deep conditioning, protein, moisturize and seal etc but worth it.

And don't forget to take B12; Omega 3 & Magnesium...My hair started growing really fast with the vitamins. I did everything that Meg talked about plus adding my supplements back. My hair is shedding right now. The only thing that changed was giving the vitamins a break and I did a protein treatment. My hair didn't like that. I know that my hair is protein sensitive but I did it anyway. I am back on my vitamins and the hair is going back in braids to see if I can stop the shedding after the protein treatment. Thank you sis for reminding us to check our routine.😝

I can relate to so much of this.. In Jan 2021 I decided I was going to stop "protective styling" after a good 7years of back to back style and wear my curls.. But noticed that my texture was very different from in my 20's, when I'd 1st went natural.. My hair was very long, midback/almost natural waist legnth.. But my curls were rough, thin strands, low density, stringy looking.. Cut to couple months ago, I went to a natural curly cut stylist and my hair is now in a curly bob.. Starting my hair journey all over.. It's now weekly washing, easy styling, and will be staying in contact with a stylist going forward to ensure I keep up on trims.. I'm already seeing growth, but can't wait to get back to the legnth I'd had but healthy this time.. Love getting to watch others journeys as they discover what works best for them and their hair..

I want to relax my hair but I have bad heat damage. I’ve been nursing my hair back to health. Is it safe to relax my hair?

If it were me I would remove the heat damage first with a good trim.

Gurl, I admire that the lapel microphone is working. lol jk. I love how refined your voice sounds. kinda missed your high pitch a little bit, but the change is good. Been watching your channel since 2010, and you are killing it. keep up the good work.

Have you tried doing a clarifying shampoo? It could be that there’s buildup on your strands, so your moisturizer is having a hard time sinking in?

Off topic, but I was wondering if you're no longer doing makeup looks anymore. I've noticed the last couple of videos have been haircare videos. Not a complaint at all. Your makeup for chocolate girls videos were what got me interested in makeup and what's out there for a chocolate girl like myself.

Your hair doesn’t seem unhealthy every time you cut it so I don’t understand why you keep cutting it, it seemed like you were on track to full healthy thicker hair so again I don’t understand why you keep cutting it but it’s your hair, you know it better than me and the short bob looks good on you

    • @ulovemegz

Thank youuuu! It’s not currently but I cut it to enjoy my Bob a little longer before I grow it out. Im loving the bob so much.
