In 2020 it will be another name, everybody has their turn and their chance, doesnt mean past winners are less winners or champions. Hands down that was the dream team of gymnastics so they have made history twice now back to back Gabby done it in 2012 and they done it again in 2016 so we all should be jumping up and down that those 5 women rocked the Olympics lol

Australia didnt qualify a team for this olympics, but Larissa Miller competed. she is a wonderful gymnast!!! she was a silver medalist on bars at this year's pacific rim championships.

She is an amazing athlete, and I hope she remembers that she was what, 16 when she won gold in 2012. THAT'S AMAZING. And to be able to come back and be on the team again, and to not feel pressured to do skills her body isn't comfortable doing, well, that's just a healthy mind set. Gabby, I hope you read this, because I want to reassure you that you are an amazing athlete (I know that probably doesn't mean a lot coming from some silly stranger), and that it is ok to be bummed that you didn't win gold again, but that you are still amazing, and no one can take away what you achieved in 2012. I feel Gabby had issue maybe before she came back. We do sincerely feel proud of Gabby of the the last Olympics. Now it is time for others. Let us all work together with each other. Dominique has competed and Medaled in 3 olympics herself... which is better results than Oksana has in her 7 olympic games. Yes, Oksana got the team gold in 92 and a silver in vault 8 years ago already. She did not do better in the vault finals in London than she did here.... though what she tried in Rio was a more difficult vault) and, the standard has gotten much higher than Oksana can compete. Complain about Dominique if you want, but the BBC commentator Christiane Steel told Oksana to stop after London. Dominique is being gracious.

I'm from Australia and I root for the USA team more than the Australian team..I've never even seen an Australian gymnast perform???

Yeah,she talked a little bit and sure she was spoken over but they were all talking over one another. Gabby wasn't the only one. She didn't choose to talk as much. Same with Madison. They seem very down to earth. Aly,Simone,and Laurie seem much more outgoing and high energy. They don't want to hide their crazy (does that make sense,lol?) I don't see how the girls are being rude to Gabby. It's the media. Not her teammates.
Madison is new to this and her natural personality is shy. Gabby? No one would ever know she is familiar to this. Aly has been here twice, like Gabby, but she is confident and it shows. Laurie is confident. Simone is confident. One thing is for sure is when you believe in yourself it comes across. 2012 Gabby was confident and it showed.

It is the dynamic of being in a group full of extroverts. She is heard, she simply is not outspoken this year. Some could easily say Laurie eclipsed everyone with her bubbly personality. People are not going to hide their light under a basket. The questions were open and that means shout out responses. If a question was direct, no one spoke for anyone.
