Done that trip (in reverse) back in 1983 in a 1978 Buick and less than $200 in my pocket! I'm doing it again in November - this time in a sleeper cabin on the train.
@47:53 Weird Route you show, as that Ramp takes you East, away from Edmonton, and in the Other Direction from where you cut to, West Edmonton Mall, which is on the West End Side of Edmonton.

Have done this trip multiple times (3x in summer of 2021), best part is around Lake Superior’s shores.
I did the same trip in 2021 northern Ontario is quite something
