I love the solitude of reading cause I sure don't feel alone.
My 3 favorite art books are:
- Works of Wonder by Michael Whelan
- Icon by Frank Frazetta
- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
Leo, your editing is outstanding! Especially the typewriter asmr bit you did in the beginning was just amazing. *Chef's kiss*
Ahhh thank you so much!! Had a fun time doing it too
Letters to a young poet is going straight to my TBR! And I initially skipped Chaols book (also didn’t like his pov at all) but ended up reading it when the final book of the series came out, and actually enjoyed it way more than I expected I would
Yayyy! Hahaha and Ive heard that before yeah 😬
You really do need to read tower of Dawn! I still don’t like chaol either but he grows on you once you read it but you need to read it for the other perspectives in that book! So good
Chaol's book was a chore for me to read but I got through it ha. ( It does redeem him a bit and give you some empathy towards him). If you don't want to read the whole book I still recommend reading a detailed book summary! Because there's a few important characters introduced and plot points that that come into play the final throne of glass book! It expands on a lot of the history and lore of the world too! Not 100% necessary but its helpful for the final book as it connect some dots!
Congrats to you on your reading 📖 for the last month of March well done 👍 please stay safe and enjoy your reading love you and your amazing channel love your friend John from Australia xxx
Letters to a Young Poet sounds so good! And I really need to watch The Martian, and reread the book!
Love your book review. I’ve been wanting to check out letters to a young poet.
Hope you’ll love it as much as I did!
i’m gonna have to pick up letters to a young poet after your review on it 🥹 just sounds so amazing to me, also i love a good essays collection book so i might as well check the wreckage of my presence too :) thank you for another amazing video!
im also currently reading letters to a young poet! im glad u're enjoying it, i havent gotten that far so i dont have any opinions, but hearing you talk about is making me excited
yay!!!!
The Martian movie is my favorite movie of ALL TIME!!! I've been meaning to pick up the book as well, and hearing you rave about it pushed me over the edge to just add it to my cart for the next book buy! I'm so excited. Also, just love all your videos in general. Your vibe is top tier, chef's kiss.
thank you so much!!!
Now I must get Letters to a Young Poet. Thanks for sharing it and your enthusiasm! ❤
Any time! Hope you’ll like it.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, give Mary Oliver a chance! she’s my favorite poet!!! I would strongly recommend Devotions by her!!!!!
omg literally ALMOST bought that book yesterday
Ngl I was holding my breath when you brought up the Martian I was scared you would say you didn’t like it 😅
If you haven't read it already I recommend poetry written by Lieke Marsman. Her novel 'Het tegenovergestelde van een mens' is also great!
Jaaa I love het tegenovergestelde van een mens die scène met de komkommer is echt mn fave ooit
I loved Special Topics in Calamity Physics until the end went bonkers. I still really liked it but I was thrown.
Hahaha relatable the ending was absolutely wild
What a beautiful intro 💕
Any poetry collections by Billy Collins! He's my favorite poet who's still alive.
Great decision to not read the book that’s all about Chaol, I hated it so much 😂 it’s so long and pointless if you don’t like him anymore after queen of shadows. Loved the video ❤️
Ikr I think I wouldn’t even manage if I tried 😂🥴
A breathtaking (both in a beautiful and heartbreaking way) poetry collection: My Art Is Killing Me by Amber Dawn. Lots in it about feminism and her first-hand experiences as a sex-worker.
That sounds really good! Thank you!
Tower of dawn is echt de moeite waard :) Chaol is idd niet geweldig, maar er wordt wel een heel cool ander personage geïntroduceerd ^^
Hmmmmmmm…. Idk of dat me zover kan krijgen bc I can’t deal with this man anymore 😂
@@leoraaileen whaha, ik wilde het boek ook skippen maar een vriendin zei dat ik het echt moest lezen. Het laatste boek is dan ook leuker omdat dan alles samen komt :)
Okay, just ordered letters to a young poet woopsi 😋
Omg yessss 🥰
Sameeee
