I so enjoy seeing sessions like this with many animals in human care it’s so stimulating for them and the best part is that it’s all positive reinforcement and completely their choice so the animal doesn’t have to participate if they’re not feeling it but when they do they get all kinds of good treats along with affection from their keepers. It’s a much better method than compared to 30 or 40 years ago when things were forced and cruel tools such as bull hooks were regularly used (at least it’s not common in the majority of the world today like before)some places like Thailand still use the forced methods but hopefully with more education and better mindsets this too will change. Yes, it's always everything positive in proper training 😊 Bull hooks are NOT a tool for forcing the animals - just a few trainers used it the wrong way. Animal rights activists same as wannabe animal welfare activists discredited the tool. It's still used in the correct way in zoos worldwide, including Wuppertal. We made quite a few videos about it. Here's one: ruclips.net/video/EaHF4Oxzoyw/видео.html . Traditional animal trainers in Thailand will also keep using this tool because it's the correct way to manage animals in free contact.
