    Good stuff, I love the format and can’t wait for more content, don’t change a thing because some guy doesn’t want to hear how guys talk to each other at work, getting to see the ins and out of a crane being assembled for a pick is cooler then the pick itself, I come from an excavation background and very much appreciate the forward planning and logistics behind it because I would walk my hoe off the trailer and go to work, I didn’t have to have a crane to build my crane, nor worrying about getting all the pieces from A to B in the right order and the same condition that they were in on the last job 😂 I thought it was great to hear the guy in the Sany talk about how the machine felt going down hill or doing the heavy pics, knowing your machine is very much a sign of a good operator

    I must say it was a 'RIOT' watching this video, between the Shot Caller and Jack in the crane working together in total harmony made it a HOOT listening in especially when the "Sandbagging Me'' started. : ))))

      Right up to the point where ‘Jack’ says he could hardly hear any of the radio communications! Quite a bit of unnecessary melodramatic commentary. ‘Oh, that’s gonna be heavy’. You haven’t seen anything heavy until you’ve worked offshore where they routinely make pics that are well over 10,000+ tons while setting entire oil & gas platforms. This is nothing more than building a temporary bridge with tinker toys.

    Nice to see this content from the Yellowstone... I've been in on hauling on a lot of these style of crane moves (from tracks to carbodies to lattice) cross-country and it's a lot like moving drilling rigs in some respects... It'll either go smoothly or become a royal cluster, depending on the pushers, breakdowns and team in general. This crew would be cool to work with (a former heavy-haul coworker went over to JMS, in fact, on the wind side... they've a good rep up in this region)... Better crane operator than one we have that's twice his age (never be a hotshot with a dangerous reputation smh).
    Good stuff here... Saved the series to watch.

    just curious why you didnt use the self assembly cylinder to install the tracks? To me its.much easier on the mlcs to do it that way.

    • @CraneCrewUSA
      @CraneCrewUSA  2 месяца назад

      JMS said they didn't use it due to only being able to swing 30 degrees with the tracks hanging from the assembly ram. There was also no way to get the trucks backed in sideways to use the assembly ram. Lastly, they found it easier to use an assist crane since there was no real estate to work and they were on a steep grade trying to put it together, which made it tricky.

      Even with an ambient temp of 95 degrees it still takes 3 or so minutes to warm up 100+ gallons of hydraulic oil to the point that the computer is happy. During the winter our MLC takes 15ish minutes to start cooperating 😂

      That rig up crane should not be allowed on the job. The owner and or renter are helping to finance the Communist Chinese Government’s bad neighbor policy. I see they don’t have their name proudly displayed in prominent locations on the crane. I realize there is not much work around there, but sometimes personal standards are important. If they had any backbone, the whole crew should drag up. Take care.
