We had a caravan on the Robin Hood camp in Prestatyn during the 60's. We went there 3 times a year. Rhyl was such a vibrant holiday destination back then. Its sad to see how far its fallen from those days. I know a lot can change in 60 years but my God! The only thing I recognise is the clock tower.
Yes rhyl has certainly changed and is still changing. The derelict guest houses in the front have been demolished now replaced with premier inn. Most of the amusement arcades have gone too.
A shadow if its former shadow. Used to be a bustling packed prom, noises and voices everywhere. The arcades rammed.... and also more than that, more than just 1 or 2 arcades, it was a seafront filled with entertainment. Now it's maybe 2 arcades, struggling for custom... and prom made of concrete and builder's fencing. Rhyl was a hub, now just a sh&thole. Such a shame.
OH my goodness how Rhyl has changed excellent video, we have not been to Rhyl for a long time but after watching we will take a look 😊
