- A quick and easy way to paint a water drop in just a few minutes. This tutorial makes it really easy to paint a realistic water drop using acrylic paints. If you are learning this technique, it is best to start with a solid colour for the background, that will make it easier to paint the semi-transparent water drop.

Thank you for this! So simple, short, easy to follow, and looks fantastic at the end! Can’t wait to apply it to my own work.
I can't believe you painted over the wave! I would've bought that, such a beautiful talent you have!
Oh my goodness - you make it look so easy! What an incredible result, really thought I was looking at something transparent, water or glass? A true artist!! :))

It can be very difficult to paint a water drop in an area with many different colours such as on the edge or crease, or on skin. You need to figure out how the light is being bent and casting shadows. Anything seen through the drop may also be magnified. It can help to use some reference photos to check while you are painting.
wow I love the last painting you showed of the angel with all the water drops...I'm amazed :)
I'm going to try this

It seems very difficult but it's very good too. 👍👍👍
mystery solved!
thanks for sharing
is very good for art
Niceeeeeee
Would I be able to use this technique on ceramics, the bubbles are raised in a waterfall with trout swimming around?
+summer43211 Yes, some of the same techniques can be used but the blending may be slightly different if you are using different types of paint. Also, keep in mind that light passing through an air bubble behaves differently than light passing through a water drop.
Very nice
wonderfull
Thanks for such a clear method :(
Can you do a tutorial on how to draw bubbles? Like a single bubble with the reflections in the air? With scenery behind or without I don't mind :)
excellent !

Because the background colour is dry I use a dry or clean damp brush to blend the edge of the paint into the background colour.
Woooooooow
