Hi Tina. It's generally accepted practice that we receive payment before we share documents and start rendering services. I guess there's no harm in sending the agreement before payment.
This is how I was taught. You get a verbal agreement to work together, you explain it all verbally in advance, they send payment then you send your agreement and welcome packet. The agreement is really just confirming everything on paper that you have verbally agreed to. Of course, it has to feel right for you.
Thanks again Michelle! I had a couple questions. I use practice better for my client onboarding process but i am thinking maybe using calendly for discovery sessions so I can use the question idea. What do you typically use for scheduling appointments and or getting questions before they book? also what types of questions do you put in there?
Hi Dacia. Yes I would use a scheduling program to book the discovery call and then once you've had that add them to practice better. I use Acuity but Calendly is great. I will perhaps do a video on what types of questions to ask in the screening process for the discovery session. Generally you want to get a sense that the person is serious and a good fit.
