Great journey ! I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
I did a saddlesore 1000 and bunburner 1500 in 2008. Congratulations. Pre-planning and mindset makes it easier, but shorter long trips also gives you an idea of what you’re in for.
Had the same problem on my Road King. What looked like a good rear tire was bald after one days riding. Harley dealer in Dodge City Kansas was a life saver!
Yeah my tire was a total surprise. I was really impressed with the “Traveler” service I received from Harley. Sounds like you had good luck too. Thanks for commenting on the vid!
Good job of keeping your cool during the unplanned delay, Keeping your cool allows you to analyze your original plan and make wise adjustments. Had a chain come off during an SS1K. Since I had been making my stops quick, there was enough time to wait for the tow truck, get the chain replaced, ride back to the point of the start of the tow and complete the ride. IBA# 68779
Yeah keeping your head on during these situations definatley helps. I was able to get both the SS1000 and BB1500 in during this ride. I would have loved to have those two hours of extra sleep but the rest of the ride went well so no worries.
Sorry the cameras were not cooperating much on the second half of the ride. I did make it for both the SS1000 and the BB1500 and the rest of the ride went really well. It was fun experience.
