It's so funny how people get confused at the Kuina reveal. The hint was the makeup but it should have been the karate stance as someone who studied martial arts as a child lol. I thought it was the katana dude too but as soon as I saw the makeup scene I knew it was Kuina.
in all fairness, plenty of arts use that stance. I have seen plenty of Sambo, Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, etc fighters use that stance. The "game master" knew that everyone is shaken or that there's no order in the Beach anymore since the person holding it together died. The people behind this used Aguni's and everyone's emotions and thought it's the best way to start the game. That's the purpose of the hearts games, they play with your emotions and make you not think logically. That's why no one is trying to figure this out using their brain, they can't cause the game made them act like they had to kill everyone to find the witch. Thankfully this time Arisu had more time to figure it out compared to 7 of hearts when he was under emotional stress.

This is just my opinion but I think the reason why they didn't really bother to check the camera footages is because before the game started, the hotel was only powered by a generator and thus the camera before the game started they were all turned off. It only probably started recording once the game started. I remember that Chishiya, the long white haired dude, mentioned that the hotel used to run on generator before the game started but once the game started the hotel started running via the main source power. This is just a guess but it would make sense why there are no footages prior to the start of the game.
And at this point the militants were shooting on sight especially targeting executive members, no chance they could walk up to them and say we have video footage of the murder before being blasted

A lot of people harp of the beach episodes and the introduction of it, mainly because it was such a jarring change from what was being dealt with prior. But that was kind of the point in of itself, the beach is suppose to be this duality and contrast between the strange and the familiar. Kind of like how in the story of through the looking glass, The Mad hatter's tea party was very much the same for Alice. Something that on the surface seemed to provide a sense of normality in what is a place of insanity, but really is still just as insane. The characters present all represent change in one way or another too, and not just change from their own respective pasts but change from the beach as well. They dont just want the sense of stagnating normalcy that is present. Those who acknowledge their own ability to change and grow like Kuina, Arisu, and Usagi, they advance. Unlike characters like Hatter, Niragi, and the Hikikomori Last Boss, all who off up no real sense of change only repetition and stagnation to how their lives were before. The Arc (IMO) is showing how there is no going back to what was, but you can control where you are going forward to.

SPOILERS I was reading the manga and when they announced the witch's death, I was like "Oh a suicide" and idk why nobody else thought of that, all that senseless Killing for nothing 😭
It was my first thought as well when I was reading it but considering the situation its smth that can be a bit tricky if ur in the actual game imo. . . 1) The victim's body is one of ur biggest evidence (+ the weapon) in a situation like this. The state of the body, if it has more injuries, where it is, its position, the blood etc...all of this factors can be hints. So getting rid of it can be counter productive bcos if it happened that they were actually murdered, you just lost one of ur biggest evidence. 2) Theyre all in survival mode to clear the game. The thought of someone committing suicide is something that can be a bit hard to grasp to some people. 3) The hatter was just killed so assuming the girl was killed as well (esp for a game) seems sensible. 4) The chaos and the violence isnt helping anyone either. I think its made obvious to the audience but is perfect as a hearts game. Its simple yet tricky and you feel disgusted once you learn how to beat it. Thats just how I see it tho.

I will say with all these flashbacks having them say their names before they went back to current time could have helped. In the manga the flashbacks were mostly contained to their own chapter so mashing literally three character flashbacks in one episode is kind of clunky. Wish this got more episodes.

The style was also interesting, since it seemed like the more traditional offshoots of Kyokushinkai (back when it had more relation to all-surface striking from Okinawan Karate and Okinawan Wrestling and Judo aspects since Kyokushinkai was originally Goju-Ryu, Shotokan, and Kodokan Judo). It had a lot of the low explosive movements of shotokan, the stances and elbows of ashihara, but had turning/flanking movements similar to Enshin (Ashihara and Enshin being offshoot of Kyokushinkai). It reminds me of Nippon Kenpo too (makes sense as Nippon Kenpo has Shito Ryu and Uechi Ryu as well as Japanese Jujutsu and Judo. It was so effective and prolific that it inspired Jieitaikakutojutsu, the self-defense style used by the JSDF. TheJSDF later added techniques from Aikido/Aikijutsu, sumo, kendo, jukendo, and a modern weaponry curriculum with skills such as tanken kakuto or knife fighting. I would also like to point out that Shito Ryu and Goju Ryu are very simliar even as far as approach and purpose. Goju Ryu means Hard-Soft Style, and Shito-Ryu means Half-Hard style. The main differences are the Shorin Ryu influence meaning longer stances and more explosive linear movements, and having far more kata). The gi however just screams Kyokushinkai offshoot. This game is so funny to me because I would have thrown the dead girl into the fire first thing. Like why did nobody get that idea💀 but it’s especially funny to me because I would have ran to the end of the tunnel and get clapped by the water before even looking at the bus but this game would have been easy for me.
