He has previous iterations of the build that can kind of help you figure out where to go but if you want a direct suggestion: Arcane intensity (spell dmg per max mana), then All natural and breaking point. By this point is where you'd want to start grabbing mana taken before life, then shock magnitude, jewel nodes, and exposure. Save the weapon swap points for last since that's about when you'll start having to look for good staves to set up with
This looks more fun than spark but still rather boring compared to other classes. Plus you need quite an amount of spirit and gear to pull this off. I don't know sorc isn't quite doing it for me.
Must say great content, been trying the gem links you suggest but it is different in your video setup and in the link. What is your latest suggestion on support gems?
Nice, I've been following your build because I wanted to make a lightning warp build cuz it seems so cool to just like teleport around killing everything
I finally found the helmet to try this out in SSF, at level 72 my health is about 1300 and ES at about 800. My mana is about 1700. Without having the skill points or jewels to socket for dmg taken as mana right now I fall over and die to phys dmg very quickly. The setup feels great, and I freeze and kill mobs instantly with lightning warp. Sadly this is a build I would hold off on until very lategame with a lot of gear pre-crafted to swap into if you play SSF. It seems like a simpler energy shield setup would be more suitable for SSF until the character is much stronger. If anyone else in SSF is curious :) Thanks for sharing the build, gl farming everyone!
yeah, his tree he shows is relatively low level (think he said 70?) so you can easily spend the next 11 points going over and picking up the right side of the block tree too. looking at the stats, he's not gaining a ton of value using a staff instead of a wand and shield
Since that Jewel is so freaking expensive, I also opt for the jewel that heals your for Max% of your HP on kill. It gives me more survivability. If you can get 8-10% max HP heal per kill, would make you survive easily against most mobs. While against boss you mostly few-shot them with the lightning conduits anyway.
So you use the ring to change everything to cold damage. the helm changes the cold back to lightning. No more freezing, doesnt this defeat the purpose of using the cast on freeze? no freezing means no cast on freeze which means no lightning conduit procs..which means cast of freeze not working on the build with ring and helm. If you use just the ring everything freezes all the time but theres less damage but mor survivability. If you leave the ring off and use the helm theres a bit less freezing but more damage output. I picked up the ring last night and tested this out. i might be wrong
Those jewels are expensive, still had to use Mom + Eldrich Battery for survival. Adjusted some nodes to mana regen and jewels to gain %mana on kill for sustain, those jewels are nice since they scale on your maximum mana as well.
I can’t afford to swap into a version of this build that will beat my spark setup rn, but I did just learn I can use blink on my staff side and animation cancel the placement to blink on command! Whew! I actually have mid fight mobility!
Can you explain how do you blink in more detail? Cause right now i need to swap staff and then press space, which is 2 actions, and there is delay for swap
I have WAY more mana regen in my build and I bleed mana out like crazy to the point of dying because I'm out of mana...how is yours not moving...I found that disabling Archmage I can still clear packs fine and turn it on before boss fights.
Loving the build, far more than my fire build. My one question is what do you do with flying enemies, like plague harvester? They seem to not be impacted by shock on ground so the damage I'm doing feels far worse than everything else.

@@humcheemian During your map clear, lightning warp may prioritize enemies in cull range (they'll have a blue wisp on their face). This satisfies the requirement for soul drain effectively refunding the additional cost of archmage
Can you create some kind of description for the base skill tree? Because no matter how I try to copy it, It simply doesn't match what you're saying, I'm unable to get that base skill tree at lv73 and I have all passives from story.

btw i see one open skill slot on site that it can be used for ice wall that might be useful for creating on demand obstacle. For me it useful mostly to block enemy projectiles or before casting lightning conduit to prevent enemy to hit me and it can supported with font of mana and fortress for more mana regen and more coverage and monster imprisonment

Have you considered slotting in CI somehow? Also why not use blink in your swap offhand. You could tie it to your curse and just deactivate cast on freeze on swap to have blink without the high spirit cost.
Having 30% damage split to Life makes it tankier and you get stunned less than going CI. My weapon swap is already being used for the boss killing setup.
i noticed that inspiration doesn't work on COF , and swapped it to warp it helped alot and the cost went down from about 300 to 180 and felt way better

@@Lexyu I was 75 when I swapped over and have all 24 weapon swap points. However, I have quite a few less passive points than your tree when you stated "this should be done at 73". I had to wait a few levels to get my weapon swap gems correct, but are you sure you meant 73 and not 83? Because it seems like I would have needed around 10 more passives to get all the outside jewel nodes and stuff that you showed in the video

Im doing this build with bloodmage and im not using archmage or double shocks, still getting as much as shock magnitude and doing cast on freeze, its working great. getting my damage through high damage crits and my tankiness is from damage recoup and 25% prevention from ascendancy, this build can definetly work as blood mage but will have lower damage output specially single target. However i believe bloodmage can get much tankier with this build specially if you can fit in Atziri's Disdain helmet and stacking lots of HP. @lexyu for single damage condit do you think stacking very high crit damage bonus could compete with doulbe shock stats from stormweaver ? btw idea with blood mage is you can pick up the health orbs when you cull enemies or just TPing around with lightening warp so no matter how high the HP costs get you will still get your HP back up and even over flow it.

regarding the first 2 ascendancy points, which is better, more useful for the undergeared low level player? Strike Twice or Arcane Surge? I barged into a Kitoko's glove, which provide Electrocute with all lightning dmg, but until I manage to get lvl11 snd 13 skill gems, Lightning Warp isn't really working, so I has to stick to Spark as the general damage dealer.
Im a little lost to where the damage is coming from. I have most of the tree, am doing a similar amount of shock, and have a slight downgrade of a staff but do not see anywhere near the dps on lightning conduit on my skill list as shown here T-T
Correct me if i'm wrong, but i've heard that in POE2 enemies cannot go below 0% resistance. Wouldn't the extra exposure not be doing anything beyond stripping their full resistance?
One question I've got for you, with the new update does considered casting still work for cast on freeze or things like that if you never took it out of the skill gem after the update? Because I hovered over it and the pop-up says it's not supposed to be able to go into cast on freeze anymore but I've got it in there. I'm wondering if I can tell without removing it whether or not it's increasing my damage. I'm afraid to take it out now

Is level 75 too low to switch to this build? I see your planner but I'm not sure what passive tree nodes to pick up first and the progression of it. If its possible to show what you should pick up each level on the passive tree that would be awesome.

!!ABOUT ARCHMAGE CONVERSION!! But first what happends to your damage when u swap to Call of the brotherhood. I think the damage drops because converted elemental damage uses only (% increased Cold Damage NOT % increased Lightning Damage buffs). The three dragons helmet uses (% increased Lightning Damage) but as the affix says "lightning damage freezes". I know this because i followed your build and played it with The three dragons helmet from the start :) Added Archmage damage works with any element. You can test this with Frost Wall when the helmet is on (builds up ignite now) BUT the added lightning damage from Archmage (lightning damage builds up freeze) still causes big mobs to insta freeze when they walk on the Frost Wall. Your overall conclusion is right tho, its much easier to build damage for this build with the helmet not the ring :). The rant was all about the archmage not working correctly with other elements.
You seem to know about this so I'll ask you: Why does the passive tree utilize shock chance/exposure nodes (such as Alternating Current) over freeze if the helmet makes all lightning damage cause freeze buildup? aren't we not even dealing shock buildup?
Does increasing the Magnitude of Shock increase the damage enemies take or does magnitude just increase the duration and the damage bonus is fixed at 20%? If the latter, then the build might be more efficient by dropping Alternating Current for Aspiring Genius. Given this, does the Desensitization/Sudden Escalation path become more efficient than the Critical Exploit path?
is this still good? running lightning conduit on freeze rn and i get better results with comet spell echo/cascade and converting cold to lightning damage ring. not getting anywhere near that crit damage but im only at 300% crit damage

If you're going thru the campaign, don't use Lightning, it's bad, use Ice instead. You'll struggle with the Bosses.

Why use cast on freeze as opposed to cast on shock? Even though CoF returns more energy, won't you be shocking a LOT more?
Cast on Shock barely triggers compared to Cast on Freeze. You can try it for yourself.

Dmg taken from mana jewels can be really expensive and I found a wand and shield helps survivably a lot more than the dmg gained from a focus

Correct, you have to spam a lot of lightning warps on flying enemies, preferably with sigil of power and conductivity.
Is there a reason we go fordouble shock acsendancy when we are using this new helm? e.g. freeze build up now and less shock?

Lightning Conduit needs to be socketed into Cast on Freeze.

what did you instill in your amulet for the frazzled passive
Despair, Disgust, Paranoia. You can see the recipe when you inspect the node in the passive tree.
Thoughts on using the Snakepit Pearl Ring? Forking Ball Lightning could be funny, but maybe chaining off Mana Tempest would be better?
The Ball Lightning projectiles can't fork because they have permanent pierce. Only the arcs coming off the Ball Lightning are affected.

No, crits provide more damage overall.
i can recommend the wondertrap silk slippers for this build
From my experiments cast on shock does not work well with lightning warp. However doing a similar setup with spark and cast on shock works.

What is the next best order of Stats on Jewels after Mana before Life? Crit Chance, Crit Chance of Spells, Crit Damage Bonus?
Mana before Life, Mana on Kill, and Shock/Ailment Threshold are the best affixes.

From the passive, I already tried this build as a level 74 Sorceress. Quite fun.
Splitting damage with life and mana is tankier and you won't get stunned as much compared to using CI.
@@Lexyu I was 75 when I swapped over and have all 24 weapon swap points. However, I have quite a few less passive points than your tree when you stated "this should be done at 73". I had to wait a few levels to get my weapon swap gems correct, but are you sure you meant 73 and not 83? Because it seems like I would have needed around 10 more passives to get all the outside jewel nodes and stuff that you showed in the video
Hey, do you know if you need the crit chance for spells and the crit damage bonus for spells specifically on the jewels? or the "on hit" chance and bonus work just fine.
Also, does increased shock magnitude affect the shock from the shocked ground?

Shock magnitude DOES affect ground. Hence why he perks into it on the tree as well

Hey, thank to share your build with us, just a technical question, if you don't play 'Call of the Brotherhood' anymore, and the three dragons instead, how do you apply shock ? i mean how is it possible with your helmet that convert every lightning damage to freeze buildup instead of Shock to shock ?

Would you ever consider dropping Blink and trying something like Blasphemy with Conductivity? Not sure you need anymore AoE damage though
Easy enough to manually cast Conductivity against bosses.
Do you take the clarity off of the archmage in order to run blink or is there something that makes the spirt cheaper so you are able to run it?

Im doing this build with bloodmage and im not using archmage or double shocks, still getting as much as shock magnitude and doing cast on freeze, its working great. getting my damage through high damage crits and my tankiness is from damage recoup and 25% prevention from ascendancy, this build can definetly work as blood mage but will have lower damage output specially single target. However i believe bloodmage can get much tankier with this build specially if you can fit in Atziri's Disdain helmet and stacking lots of HP.
@lexyu for single damage condit do you think stacking very high crit damage bonus could compete with doulbe shock stats from stormweaver ?
btw idea with blood mage is you can pick up the health orbs when you cull enemies or just TPing around with lightening warp so no matter how high the HP costs get you will still get your HP back up and even over flow it.
I don't think Bloodmage will do as much damage, but the survivability seems nice.
LOVE the build but have a question that I dont quite understand. How does your lightning conduit hit so hard if it isnt getting the additional from the shock percentage since the helm removes all shock chance? Or am I misunderstanding. Super appreciate you putting this online btw
Ball lightning + lightning warp creates shock ground so you have to use this combo to apply shock before you can burst with lightning conduit

Cast on freeze was mega nerfed 2 patches ago. The impetus and energy retention support gems are needed.
regarding the first 2 ascendancy points, which is better, more useful for the undergeared low level player? Strike Twice or Arcane Surge? I barged into a Kitoko's glove, which provide Electrocute with all lightning dmg, but until I manage to get lvl11 snd 13 skill gems, Lightning Warp isn't really working, so I has to stick to Spark as the general damage dealer.
You'll need Arcane Surge first while leveling.

No, everything dies in 1 freeze.
If it doesn't survive the before or during the first freeze, you're doing something wrong
Im a little lost to where the damage is coming from. I have most of the tree, am doing a similar amount of shock, and have a slight downgrade of a staff but do not see anywhere near the dps on lightning conduit on my skill list as shown here T-T

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i've heard that in POE2 enemies cannot go below 0% resistance. Wouldn't the extra exposure not be doing anything beyond stripping their full resistance?
Penetration only goes down to 0, and then Exposure can go negative.

One question I've got for you, with the new update does considered casting still work for cast on freeze or things like that if you never took it out of the skill gem after the update?
Because I hovered over it and the pop-up says it's not supposed to be able to go into cast on freeze anymore but I've got it in there.
I'm wondering if I can tell without removing it whether or not it's increasing my damage. I'm afraid to take it out now
I was able to re-equip it yesterday and it increases the tooltip dps still.

Hi question, been ff your build now but seems something is wrong lightning wrap dmg is 8k but my lightning conduit is only 5k dmg when i open skills

You can start with spark or arc. I spammed lightning warp on ball lightning projectiles as soon as they were unlocked.
@@Lexyu Awesome, I'm at act 3 cruel, been using a nice comet build until now, but I'm excited to try this one tomorrow to get a change of pace :) I'm at level 60 and just unlocked the level 13 skills. Hopefully it will be enough to get this going

Is level 75 too low to switch to this build? I see your planner but I'm not sure what passive tree nodes to pick up first and the progression of it. If its possible to show what you should pick up each level on the passive tree that would be awesome.
Works starting around act 5 when you unlock conduit. You just need the helmet/amulet and it works.

But first what happends to your damage when u swap to Call of the brotherhood. I think the damage drops because converted elemental damage uses only (% increased Cold Damage NOT % increased Lightning Damage buffs).
The three dragons helmet uses (% increased Lightning Damage) but as the affix says "lightning damage freezes".
I know this because i followed your build and played it with The three dragons helmet from the start :)
Added Archmage damage works with any element. You can test this with Frost Wall when the helmet is on (builds up ignite now)
BUT the added lightning damage from Archmage (lightning damage builds up freeze) still causes big mobs to insta freeze when they walk on the Frost Wall.
Your overall conclusion is right tho, its much easier to build damage for this build with the helmet not the ring :). The rant was all about the archmage not working correctly with other elements.

Does increasing the Magnitude of Shock increase the damage enemies take or does magnitude just increase the duration and the damage bonus is fixed at 20%? If the latter, then the build might be more efficient by dropping Alternating Current for Aspiring Genius. Given this, does the Desensitization/Sudden Escalation path become more efficient than the Critical Exploit path?
Shock magnitude increases the damage enemies take when being shocked and scales the bonus damage on lightning conduit.
is this still good? running lightning conduit on freeze rn and i get better results with comet spell echo/cascade and converting cold to lightning damage ring. not getting anywhere near that crit damage but im only at 300% crit damage
