Very interesting stuff. I’ve been heavily considering getting a used mark 1 Quantum for just this kind of synthesis of samples. Good to see you making videos again!
Hey, great to see you're back with new videos! The Quantum remains such an exciting machine, so thanks for sharing this in-depth sample manipulation walkthrough. I am still wondering whether I should get a Quantum MK2 or an Iridium Keyboard... but in the meantime, I'll enjoy your content! ☺
I have a quantum mk1, and I didn’t know you could apply samples to the digital formanter. What I’ve been doing lately is apply the formanter to the Kernals (FM) . it’s has yielded amazing results so I’ll give this a try as well.
Ooh, it sounds like the Blaster Beam at 8:50. I love comb filters but I've mainly used them for feedback modelling, not straight-up like this!
8:46 reminds me a bit of the Star Trek movie with the whales, when that giant sticks flies to earth.
I think that was a fairlight sound, on one of Cris Blyths videos he discovers it :D

Worth getting for sure, nothing else like it besides its siblings :D
It runs exactly as the rest the only difference beyond colour is the keyboard. And the poly after touch.
Wow really nice when you found that sweet spot. Will definitely try to make a patch like that thanks!
The Quantum is realy a powerfull machine. Thanks for sharing, Mr 100
Indeed it is, there are very few things that it would be possible of that it does not do :D

Try them both at a store if you can and see which one you bond with more :D
Glad to see you are back!

Great to hear, thats why I make these videos :D
You can actually turn the envelopes into comb filters as well with some careful bugery.
Is that the mk1? They are currently on sale for a great price
Yep MK1 :D

Is it just me or does everything seem slightly panned right?
Possibly, I had a few challenges getting the levels up without clipping and had to do a few htings. :D
0:09 "Oh I didn't see you there..!"
