Freightliner Cascadia brake lights allways on issue solved

A 2017 freightliner cascadia came with brakelights always on! After checking the truck it ended up beiing the brake switch located under the steering wheel on the right! Please take in consideration the freghtliner has a recall on this issue! Best of luck guys!

Thanks buddy ur right on the money I did mine last night an . The shop wanted me to bring the truck in I said nope not this time went to freightliner an bought 2 senors. I new what mine was I had it fix. 3 time b4. If ur gonna do it yourself have tools.

That is what usually happens! Because of the condens in the air system, corosion appears! Good job my friend

I have a problem where periodically I have no power to the trailer, it’s not a problem with the connector cable from the tractor. I’ve switched cables. It’s also not fuses if I put my foot on the brake pedal and pull it up and jiggle around the pedal, sometimes it will work. Any idea what it could be?

I changed my 2019 cascadia brake switch at the dealer shop but I have still same issue. What else could be causing this problem?

@@truckscanada3715 what I was saying is, you showed us where the brake light switch is but you didn't demonstrate how a replacement goes in

@@tengal15778899000 I understand now! The reason for not showing the replacement is because its just a remove and plug in! There is no tehnological procedure to replace the brake switch! Only remove and instal!

Hello.. I have 2012 cascadia dd15. Issue is that no power is going to by brake switch.. any idea why that is? Any help will be appreciated

The brake switch is fused in the fuse box! If the fuse is ok, please check the wiring!
