You didn’t lose the first game, it was a tie.
If you check the timestamp at 00:55 it was 1-0 your favor. Then at 01:00 the dude basically makes a layup making it one to one so tir game, but at 01:01 you’ll see it shows 1 to 2 instead of 1 to 1. The game ends at 06:06 it’s 14 to 15, but it should’ve been 14-14 unless there was another issue between the first point of theirs and the last one
And the second game, you guys barely lost.

These comparisons (D1 or NBA vs. regular hoopers) bother me for one reason: if it's a casual game, a run, playground, you really can't get an idea of the ceiling of the pro/college players - i.e. watching all the relatively uncontested drives/layups from the "regular" team, they'd presumably not be able to even get past half court dribbling if these players really locked in?

This was awesome and these guys were playing at like half speed I'm guessing? Maybe 1/3 speed lol. Obvisouly at the college level , you're basically playing a semi-professional sport. Also of note: I don't think I've ever seen someone reject T-jass three point shot!

No, he does not… He doesn’t play defense and he does terrible against bigger stronger and quicker athletes. There’s a reason why no one sniffed him at college.

The conditioning is everything. If you can go through the first 5 minutes and not be that gassed then the defense will start getting softer and you can get better looks, but indoor hella cardio

Regarding average you’re a high level D2/ small school D1 player.
As good of athlete as TJazz is, his lack of spring and length hurts him at times. Offensively and defensively unfortunately.
TJ would have been a phenomenal soccer player. Lack of height and hops wouldn’t be an issue…lateral quickness and coordination is there in spades. He could have gone pro in that sport.

Biggest difference that set the D1 guys apart is they had more size and played D better. It was obvious they were better hoopers than the Joes but the Joes could have won in each of those games.
yeah the skill difference on an individual level for each player was clear. If they locked in like they did to secure the win at the end the whole game this video would not be worth posting lol. Only guy who could keep up individually was TJass and he'd be a bum on their roster

Great video. I personally did not see much of a gap between your team and theirs. The things that I saw your team lacking in were: 1. Conditioning, 2. Better defense rotation and close out, and 3. More off ball movement on offense needed.

TJas' team is not average. Most ball players can't make some of their shots, are as big or athletic. They did a lot better than I thought they would do. If the D1 guys played harder defense it wouldn't have been so close. Their 3point shooting and athleticism were the difference makers.

The difference is the D1 dudes are not playing D at full speed. But the "average" players were definitely good HS and maybe college players a few years ago....

the diff is obvious in the shooting, the disparity in knocking down OPEN shots, and the acceleration ..physicality of the d1 guys; they werent going all out, but the average guys played well tbh. tjass and like 2 other dudes carried but...all in all this clda went alot worse than it did
