Yes Phil Gould can be blunt and abrupt in the way he expresses his opinion and that can put some people a little offside, but all in all, he's a bloke that is passionate about the game and has been a premierships winning coach for the Panthers and a winning state of origin coach. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the game that dates back to his playing career that spanned three clubs, Newtown jets, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs.
Think about this for a second, this team beat a full strength Penrith side, kept them to 6 points. And they put 66 on the Cowboys They're capable, the just can't do it every week

I agree totally with what Gus said there. I'm a tigers fan myself and I definitely do see progress there in regards to the team roster. They've brought in the likes of Bateman, Wakeham, bula, korisau and let's not forget the Forbes Ferrari, Charlie staines who's still out with that bowel injury. My theory all along has been that the coaches were doing everything possible to field a formidable side and a side that would win most of their games through good defence and attack, but the players weren't sticking to the plan and were easily becoming fragile as a team unit on the field. Even took one bad decision from a match official to go against them and all of a sudden they crawl back into their own shells. Look at last Friday night's game against the knights for example. That first try being denied due to an apparent knock on in contesting the high ball really set them back.
100% percent agree. Even they have lost most of their closer games. There are these amazing little flashes that get my heart pump. Yes I wish we had a few more wins under their belt. But compared to the souless bunch of zombies we called a team last year, these guys are heading in the right direction

From 2005 we’ve gone from a team that could make finals to a middling team that hung around 9th/10th11th to wooden spooners two years in a row. The decline has been long term and needs a thorough investigation where all the board are cleared out.
We were top 4 2011 and lost a prelim Final at the absolute death to the roosters otherwise we would’ve played in the GF that year too. So no. It’s not been garbage since we won the comp in 2005.

Needing Strike Centres that reads defence and can run holes help out second rowers and hold up any defence for split second for spine to work …get a another young bull in middle put Kelmer in NSW cup ..halves are only creative with space given..that right there is a giveaway
I don't consider myself to be a rugby league expert when compared to former NRL players, I only played at a junior level but I fail to see how it can be said that tigers have not gotten worse when they are facing the wooden spoon for the 2nd year in a row which included some pretty big floggings this year???

How can a club improve when the media is always bagging them, managers wont let players go there , ex players telling young players not to go there or to leave and potential coaches getting stolen by other clubs. Everyone outside the club trying to destabilise the place. If they leave them be and stop poaching the young kids coming through theyll be fine
