Goto Mark X 65mm Classic Telescope

This is a superb 65mm aperture 1000mm focal length telescope. Though the OTA is somewhat ordinary compared to more exotic 80mm offerings from Goto, the Mark X mount represents Goto at its most potent. It is a truly elegant innovation! Goto Kogaku developed the Mark X system in about 1975 at least partially as a response to the challenges posed by the new company Takahashi. Takahashi had only been around for about 8 years and was taking the Japanese telescope world by storm with highly innovative new telescopes and mounts offered at bargain prices. This little telescope is symbolic of Goto’s answer to Takahashi because it is on the spectacular Mark-X mount.
