Great Rissington is one of the largest of a group of villages called the Rissingtons near Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds. In this video, we explore the 18th century cottages nestled down country lanes, as well as the church, and local pub.

40 years ago, my hubby was stationed in England. We lived at RAF Little Rissington. We had a Baptist mission that had services at the church on Sunday afternoons. I have been watching your channel reliving all the wonerful times we had while living there.

That's what amazed me so much in English churches, the same families in the same villages going back century upon century. Lists of those who died in war. In the US we move around so much there isn't much of that kind of memorial. We wear it on our hearts instead, I suppose.

Lovely little village but once the elites take it all over, it will probably be barred from commoners. That's the way it seems to go these days. Sad to say.
