Also if you have bought at very low and if the price is going up then you can add more shares of the same and make more profit ! Because your average cost will be low, same principle as he explained here but when price is going upward trend.😊
My view is that, at this situation, better have balance portfolio with long term stk and some for short term. When you get your price above breakeven for short term stk, sell and keep the money to buy when prices comming down.
Thank you very much sir I have learned lots about my mistakes but I think still lord more to learn. I’m not sure how to purchase your videos could send me a link please. Thanks again Chamath❤
Thanking your video, could you please show us a suitable Excel sheet format for book keeping our portfolio for the purpose you mentioned (averaging, profit) for all the stocks in a single Excel sheet.
Im just wondering in case if we are at a loss of like 40% with a stocks worth 100k , then again i didnt do a stop loss , my bad but is there a method to minimize the loss by averaging by a minimum amount considering i have a considerate cash available in my portforlio , p.s. when averaging by a quite a big amount to cover or minimize the loss if the stock is sold at even a bare minimum gap the loosing amount will be quite big so how to reduce the loss with bare minimum amount of averaging ?
Okay..i understood how to reduce the cost..but what next..if its falling down why we need to buy more stocks at a lower price and sell it at the end..Did i miss anything in your explanation?
more you buy at lower end, your average price of a particular stock comes down. We buy at lower ends with the expectation that it will rise. So here our standing is it should climb up. So at the right time we can exit earlier than before when the average cost is at a lower point.
Sir mage hnb x / n share dekama tibba.ehema x and n dekama tiygnn eka awulak nadda.mm price decline unama.x eka profit tyagena wikunala n share eka acerage krgatta.meka hoda decision ekk neda
Usually I buy that X share to hold long term what ever happens in the market as a dividend stream. But I cant say what you did is wrong, because if that time you see the gain, no harm in selling
So now the market is at 5798 recovered from the fall of 5587, expecting to go back to 6000. So if you have lowered your portfolio cost then even at the moment, without even waiting for 6000, you have had the gain
In this kind of a market with some uncertainty should we average 1:1 or in small quantities ? I know this depends on the person's risk appetite, then again was thinking is there a more technically correct method for that 😃
Here also we have to take a standing where will the market would move in coming months. So that's our judgement, and it's not the same among all investors, some might think it will fall further. So if our standing is that the market will move up, there is no harm in averaging as much as you can given the fact that you have the capital. Then the risk element comes to play and you need to deal it with your level of appetite. Today I'm uploading how to handle it with beta values, perhaps you will be able to relate it with this.
Thanks coz I was thinking if I anyway gonna hold my stocks, averaging will only make it better. If the prices go down further my average won't be the best but then it's still a better position than my previous. However since the capital is limited (I have two times in hand than what I invested) if I do 1:1 now I can do it one more time 😬 so that's why I wanted to see your view point on this. Thanks will watch the video in the evening.

Im getting confused as I have also heared in some lessons the phrase 'not to catch a falling knife'. Please explain
So now the market is at 5798 recovered from the fall of 5587, expecting to go back to 6000. So if you have lowered your portfolio cost then even at the moment, without even waiting for 6000, you have had the gain

Very important thing. Thanks a lot.👏🖤
But why u use "1-"in this formula (1-1.12%).? This point not clear.
Its just mathematics back calculation, just apply the formula and see, you will understand

True, this is the problem I highlighted in that "CSE new look" video. Unless small investors get together they will not have a say here.

1-1.12%? why is that?
1.12% is the total tax, it's the mathematical formula, just apply and see
(1-1.12%) mehema karanne ai aiye???
1.12% is the total tax when you sell/buy (1-1.12%) is the mathematical formula, you can apply and see how it tally with your cost of the portfolio
