My advice for new investors: you will need at least 6 months to figure out the market and it’s behavior patterns. As mentioned in this video, don’t rush to buy stocks unless you are 100% sure about everything about that particular stock. Watch, watch, watch and observe. Check historical prices and company profile to see whether current price is justifiable. Also check the economical influence to that particular company. Then buy in small quantities. Never invest all you have at once. Stocks goes up and down. Study those patterns and buy when they are down. Try to keep good dividend paying and growth potential stocks for long term basis. ( අවුරුදු 2ක් 5ක් වගේ කාලයක් අරගෙන ඒ ඒ සමාගම් වල growth එකත් එක්ක long term imvestor කෙනෙකුට ගන්න පුලුවන් ඇත්තම ප්‍රතිලාභය ) මේක වැඩිය කව්රුත් touch නොකරන මාතෘකාවක් කියලා හිතෙනවා . ඔබට ජය ! 30% of Total capital in stocks(30% Total cap FD,40% total cap in units)
Out of that 30%- 70% in long term dividand stocks,30% in mid term and short term.
