They have (or had) him in stock for a reasonable price, and I just had to pick up ED-209 together with the diecast RoboCop. A dream will soon come true, my personal diorama of RoboCop and ED-209 in CQC action👌🏻🤤
Thank you Justin!! Awesome review! Looks perfect, good thing it was taken care. I love Ed, I was offered the newer Ed209 and it looked amazing, sadly the dome was showing some very small cracks so I had to pass on it. Got the smaller Neca Ed209 instead with the audio feature and I'm happy with it.
I have the regular version of Ed and Robocop. Comes with remotes for voice activation on both. Also have a battle damaged arm. I have never applied any silicant to mine, no issues. Yours does not have sound Justin?
Interesting to see how hot toys cut their teeth on their earlier pieces. Thanks for sharing/reviewing this. Still looks like a great piece. I read somewhere the HT design is based on the stop motion model used in the movie rather than the lifesize one. Apparently the shape of the dome is different with a more angular one on the stop motion
I know I'll be getting both the Ironman mk 85 and spiderman upgraded suit. But I only have enough money for one at the moment and I dont know which one I want to purchase first. Can you help me, maybe even flip a coin?😂
It's nice and all. But that rubber dome is gonna tear and crack sooner or later... Main reason why I've avoided getting these Hot Toys Ed 209. Deal breaker for me. Even the ones they reissued in 2014 has the same problems with the dome. 5:52 The face on Robo looks off. The chin isn't sitting flush behind the chin strap. You can remove the chin strap so you can adjust the face without having to force it in to prevent scratching the chin area.

Mine is the original and has the cracked rubber dome. It’s disassembled in the until I figure out how to replace rubber.
